Great StorageThese boxes are sturdy and long lasting. I bought a set in red over 3 years ago and there are still in great shape, even after 2 moves. I recently changed my office and needed a new coordinating color for my storage boxes. I immediately went back to the Container Store for more of these great storage boxes. Perfect for disguising your chaosI love these boxes - I think we have about twenty of them. They're the only way I've found to make heaps of boxes look classy. They fit perfectly on 8" Elfa shelves (provided you aren't using a backstop) and are ideal for corralling all kinds of chaos. We've got them for medical/first aid stuff/rarely used cosmetic and bath items by the bathroom, accessories like mittens and hats by the door out, tea storage in the kitchen, gadgets with their chargers and cords in the living room, and knitting and crafty stuff galore. (They're an especially nice size for card-making.) Bonus: If you're into shifting your stuff around seasonally, you can get extra labels for other sides of the boxes - swap out the contents, rotate the box and boom!

So UsefulI use these for gift boxes. It is so easy--just use a fun color and tie a festive bow around it. I save on wrapping paper and cardboard gift boxes, and the recipient gets both the gift inside and a wonderful storage tool for after the occassion. Especially nice for baby showers.

They are loose cards of heavy card stock. The are slightly less wide than the box itself, so they don't stand up in the box unless there are contents between them.

Surprisingly, Stockholm Photo boxes are Swedish. They are made in one of three manufacturing sites in Sweden by Bigso, using fiberboard and paper laminate.

Are these boxes acid free?
Storing photos is a delicate process and the idea is to keep them safe so I am wondering how safe they are for storing photos. Thanks

Yes, exposure to air, dust and dirt is an issue in storing photos. Do not overstuff or understuff the box.
Equally important is storing in high grade acid-free materials. These materials have a buffering agent which neutralizing acid and pollutants.
The ultimate in archival is probably more than you want to know but here it is:
The rolls royce of archival has a pH balance of approximately 8.5 with 3% buffering of calcium carbonate and is lignin-free to fight off acididy.

Can these be used to store greeting cards or are they too shallow? Is the 5”H including the lid?

If the greeting cards are faced flat, they can be stored in the box. If they are positioned to stand up they will be too tall for the box. The 5" includes the lid
