Hi - This is "Tall Doors" coming back after going into the store and working through this issue with a designer. For anyone else with tall doors like me, this doesn't work. The standard is only 94" (and change). There are no longer standards if you don't want to permenantly screw it to the door. If you leave it dangling from the top it will wave back and forth - i.e., it won't be secure to the door.

What adjustment or attachment do you offer with Elfa door kit so that unit can be hung over thicker solid wood door, original to early 1900's

Noticing this question and answer now, after I ordered it and picked up in-store San Antonio. I suggest an option at checkout to choose the thickness of your door. This is categorized as an “Entryway” item and one can assume a thicker exterior door or as I assumed it may be adjustable to fit common size entryway doors. Mine is 1.75” and the residential size I received won’t fit. My nearest store is San Antonio, a very long drive from Puerto Vallarta.
