Great closet solutionMy room does not have a closet, so my elfa system extends across my bedroom walls instead. I really have to say, I like the open feeling of seeing my clothes without having to open a closet door. There's also so many interchangeable parts; I exchanged the shoe rack for a jewelry station and a laundry basket instead. Definitely has helped me stay more organized and since getting it, I definitely have fewer clothes lying around the floor! It's all open and so easy to put clothes away; why wouldn't I?
The only main issue I've had so far is that some of the drawers will just fall out if too much weight is put into them. E.g. I have a drawer with 49 T-shirts in it, and when rolling it out it will just slide right out. However, if you have enough money and space to buy more drawers to better distribute, this is obviously not a problem :)
Note: My lease does not allow nailing to the wall, so I ended up getting a freestanding, birch & platinum version of the above product.

A Man Cave ClosetUsing this closet as an inspiration, I redesigned my husband's closet for his birthday. It is located in his man cave and at night he can open the closet doors and turn on the mini lights when he's in this room relaxing or just hanging out. He loves it.

My Elfa ClosetI've had my Elfa closet for about two months. It has changed my life. I have two school age children so I don't have much time for myself in the mornings. Because of my Elfa closet, I'm more organized and I spend less time looking for things to wear in the morning. My closet has saved me so much time. Priceless!! I have more space and everything has it's place. My closet was a disaster before Elfa!

Love Love Love Elfa!!!We love elfa systems so much that we have done 2 closets and 2 laundry rooms. Super easy to install and very reasonably priced. We installed all 4 ourselves. I also love that you can add and remove shelves and accessory pieces. I recommend this product to everyone!!

Closet UpgradeWhen purchasing my new home I saw that the one standard rod going across wouldn't work. Also not being a walk-in closet I had to make something work with my girls have so much clothes. I purchase the Elfa for my girls clothes and its amazing how the transformation went and it looks a lot more nicer than before. The girls like to keep there closet door open now so people can see the beauty of the new well organize closet.

Beautiful Closet easy to installWe designed the closet on line and it was quite easy. Ordered parts and had them at the door very fast. The instructions were simple and the installation was very simple. The RESULTS were GREAT!!!
It was so nice that we ordered ELFA for two other closets. One was a pantry and the other a linen/storage closet. We designed these with the help of one of the members of the Container Stores design team by phone,.she helped us create two great spaces. This time we picked up the parts at the nearest store and everything was there when we went to pick it up and they loaded it in our car. Last night we completed the pantry installation. NO problems encountered and the result is GREAT. Excited about the Linen closet. THANK YOU!!!!

Enough Room for Two Sisters' ClothesMy two girls share one small closet. Using the Elfa system, we were able to maximize their space, giving each girl enough room for her things. Plus, the shelves are adjustable so they can easily be reconfigured as they grow taller. (At the time of installation, my daughters were 11 and 5). Before, the closet was a scary mess to even open the doors. We took the sliding doors off the closet and replaced them with a curtain. We bought different color hangers for each of them to color-code their clothes. Elfa brought peace and calm to their room, their relationship, and our family. Love, love, love Elfa! (I can't get my photos to load, will try again later.)
Hint: We buy the same Elfa colors and styles for each of our closets, that way the pieces are interchangeable between closets when we need to reconfigure!

Durable and versatileWe've had our elfa system for 6 years and I've yet to have a piece break or become unusable. I'm able to change our closet with our changing needs. For example, I had children and don't wear heels a lot anymore so I switched out some heel racks for regular shoe racks. Scarves are in style now so I've added components to hold my scarves. I love playing around with the design. I don't LOVE the price but I keep buying more because it's such a great system.

2 closets = 1 BIG ChangeI have just had 2 Elfa Closet Systems installed in my home. Both closets were a waste of space in a 50's house. From the design to the installation the whole experience was very positive. My closets went from hopeless and useless to being very accomodating of multiple hobbies and gift wrap! One closet in my office is for hobbies, sewing machine and vacuums with room to spare! The other is a total gift wrap closet but can accomodate guests should I need to use it for that,too! I love the elfa systems as it is clean and simple. I have way too much gift wrap and accessories but with my new closet I could decide what to keep and what to get rid of in no time! I highly recommend these systems. The designer did a perfect job for me and I am so very pleased!

Elfa shelvingI have used elfa shelving and storage units in three of my closets. It is the best system for price, quality and ease of installation. The birch shelves are sturdy and beautiful looking. A great choice for any closet.

Best closet solutionI installed this in my old apartment and ended up re-using the pieces in my current apartment after I moved because all Elfa elements can be re-jigged to fit any closet space. Container store also cut the bars for me for free. I love the quality of the drawers too and I don't think you can find comparable products on the market

CustomizableWhen we built our first home, we installed Elfa in all our closets. The functionality in the kids room was AMAZING! while the boys were younger, they could reach everything on lower shelves and racks, as they grew and their clothes got larger, we ere able to raise everything to a more suitable height.
We have since bought a rehab and moved. I haven't done the closets yet but CANNOT wait to plan and install elfa into the kids room, especially now that I have the 3 year old little girl who likes dressing herself!

Elfa Closet SystemMy family initially had the container store team help us select appropriate Elfa white ventilated closet system parts for our girls's closet. They were easy to self install and looked fabulous.
Therefore, we installed Elfa platinum ventilated closet for our guest room. Again we enjoyed the final product and bought 2 more Elfa white ventilated closet parts for our master bedroom.
The Elfa System is easy and looks professional and clean.
After 5 closets we did have a lot of unused parts we could have returned to the container store.
Also, I would recommend to have an in-store person review your design, AND NEVER buy the "system" or "planned closet" online as it results in waisted precious closet space.

Great AdditionThe bars in my closet kept falling down which was an ongoing problem. It certainly was not from too many clothes - it was from an inefficient closet. After purchasing this Elfa closet my closet problems were gone. This system is so great because the weight is not all on the bars like a traditional system. You can also change where you want your drawers when your closet needs change. Bravo to this system!!

Simply The BestI did a custom design similar to the one pictured here and couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. I designed my own closet on-line, then called to make a few customizations. I chose the store pick up option an everything was ready when they said it would be. I have installed 3 closets this year and 5 in total over the last few years. I have never had an issues with missing parts or difficult instructions. Everything about this product and the staff at The Container Store is simply the best!

Wonderfully versatileLove the flexibility of moving shelves and rods around as my children get older (and taller) and allowing for the longer clothing and the kids ability to reach the rods to take their own clothing out of the closet. Now if I could only get them to hang the clothing back up!!!

Fantastic!We purchased a variation of this closet system for our two 'reach-in' bedroom closets that have sliding doors and are only accessible one half at a time. This system has easily quadrupled the amount of storage space in our closets! We have two clothes hanging rods on one side and a bank of the gliding drawers on the other side, with two long shelves at the top. The amount of storage space is absolutely amazing! The drawers are so smooth and easy to use, and the mesh allows you to easily see the drawer's contents. We absolutely love our closet systems!
Can the 11 foot option be broken up to be like a 5 foot and 6 foot space?

One thing I don’t like in most systems is that you can see the “holes” where the brackets attach (ugly) on this one it looks like you can’t! Is that true?

Yes, this solution includes Elfa Standard Covers, which conceal the slots on any Elfa Standard or Upright!
