Fine shoe rack, but not very high qualityI'll start off by saying that this is a decently fine shoe rack. Super simple set up and does its job. That said, I was disappointed in the quality for a $40 item - I'd say it's worth about half. Specifically, when I opened the box, there were plenty of small scratches and chips in the wood. The entire thing was also covered in dust and dirt even though it was wrapped in a box. The wood was also warped, so I had to force the pieces to fit together which almost felt like they would snap (they still might). I have had the shoe rack for a day, so I'm hoping it doesn't break soon.

Good until it brokeThis is a beautiful shoe rack I purchased for my entry way closet. I had no issues with it until one day the front panel on one of the tiers just snapped off out of nowhere. Unfortunately, I’ll have to get rid of it soon since it is a sharp wood piece sticking out.

Worst purchaseI purchase this shoe rack because it was the prefect size for my narrow entryway. However, after only having the rack for 24 hours it broke. I’m truly disappointed.

Wood breaks easilyWe bought this item in late September for our pending move in October. We used it for exactly two months when two of the wooden rungs broke when my son placed his soccer cleats on there ! they snapped on the ends - not where he placed his cleats (see attached picture - offending cleats are also seen in picture).
We loved the idea of collapsing when not in use, the color and assembly was super easy but sure did expect it to last a lot longer than two months ! we are still using until I find something sturdier...

Love this shoe rackI have owned this rack for a couple of years and it has held up perfectly. It is very sturdy and looks as good today as the day I bought it. I wanted something that had an actual bottom shelf and not just shoes on the floor so this was perfect. We load it up with shoes... I would say we definitely abuse this shelf and it holds up. No issues. Super easy, i seem to recall the was no assembly... but it's been a couple years.. buying another one for a gift.

Mediocre qualityBought this because it was the right size, almost entirely assembled & I had a coupon. I would not have bought this at full price - the wood is rough/unfinished and cheap, and the piece is lightweight and not entirely stable.

Flimsy. We returned.We were so excited to find this online - it looked exactly like what we wanted so we purchased two.
But upon getting it out of the box, it was clear to us it wasn't going to work. It was super easy to set up but just a little pressure on the slats with a finger revealed how flimsy it was. Maybe okay for slippers, but I don't think I would have trusted it to last very long with heavy shoes.
We returned both and bought a metal rack from another store.
While stacking 2 of these, how do they stay together? Are there pins or brackets?

No, leaving the middle shelf up on our Driftwood Folding Shoe Rack is not recommended. It would undermine the structural integrity of the construction.
