$9.99/ea. - $12.99/ea.

Our Slimline Fridge Jug holds over a gallon of milk, water, or tea yet requires less than 3" of refrigerator shelf space. And our 2.5 gallon Slimline Fridge Jug holds twice as much in just 5-1/2" of shelf space. Space-savvy, clear, and unbreakable, these jugs feature a truly leak-proof spigot, a grip handle, and a wide-mouth opening for easy filling and cleaning. We recommend hand washing. To prevent leaks, ensure that the two portions of the spout are assembled properly. The first part screws into the jug itself; the second part is the actual spout. The operation of moving the spout can loosen the two portions of the spout - make sure the two parts are suitably tightened and the spout should not leak.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water doesn’t come out I was excited about this product but very disappointed to find that the water doesn’t flow out smoothly at all. It comes out in spurts and takes forever to fill even a small cup. I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for kids I keep this in my fridge within reach of my kids. The flow of the water is not very fast like the jugs you buy in the supermarket so that means my kids are not spilling water everywhere. All my other groceries still fit nicely because it’s so slim.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the concept but it leaked water all over frig We have had this container for just over 2 months now and this morning I woke up to find water all over the top shelf, standing in my container of spinach that I just bought last night and about an inch deep beneath the two lower drawers of my fridge. Up until this morning, we loved the container for keeping cold water readily available and not taking up much space. We even bought one for the countertop for holding filtered water at room temp. However, now that this has happened I am am concerned that it will eventually happen with the countertop one, too. I'd like to say I'd recommend this (and yesterday I would have, gladly) but now I'm just not so sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Wonderfully! We’re a family of two. This is the perfect size to help us drink more water. Ice cold is awesome from the fridge! This works really well. I value the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more spills! My daughter and I use refillable water bottles every day; which means filling them up multiple times every day. Our fridge doesn't have a water port, and our normal jug would run out all the time or be too full for my daughter to pour. Using this jug has made it so easy for both of us to do refills without any spills. I did make sure to tighten it really well and haven't had any leaking issues as others have mentioned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is awesome to have in the fridge instead of taking out and pouring from a pitcher. It doesn't work with the cap on because there is nowhere for air to come in. So I have to keep the cap unscrewed, and since the handle is on the side I hope I don't forget and spill it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Beverage Container! We have used this container for years for tea. Recently purchased a new one for lemonade. It has never leaked like other containers. The design makes it fit well in the frig. It’s easy to clean too. No downside to this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better than a pitcher This is the BEST space saver in the frig. I always found that pitchers took up so much room. This SLIMLINE JUG holds more than my old pitcher and takes up very little space in the frig. BUT ... the best thing is you don't have to take it out to pour yourself a glass ... just use the spout... fast, easy and clean! I had my first one for YEARS until my husband accidentally broke it. He asked to me go immediately to the Container Store and buy another one or two :) Can't go wrong with this one!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from messy disappointment the big one i got was apparently cracked on the bottom and leaked everywhere. the small one is warping badly and is very hard to clean in the back corners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Both products are terrific I have previously owned the smaller version of this Slimline jug and abandoned it when I moved. In my new home, I have now purchased the larger version. I find either of them to be perfect for my needs. My refrigerator is larger in my new home, so I decided to try the bigger one. As a note: Be sure not to tighten the lid when you want to use it. It will need air to assure the flow of water from the spout.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, but.... I've had three of these 2.5 gallon bottles. I got three so I could juggle them and always have one at work and one at home with a good supply of water in both places. I haven't had trouble with the spigots leaking as some other reviewers have. I guess it's the luck of the manufacturing draw. My problem is the plastic bottles are TOO FRAGILE. The joint between the white plastic spigot and the clear plastic container body is TOO FRAGILE. It cracks and leaks much too easily. On one of mine I gently bumped one of the lower back corners and it just popped open. Seriously, I have always been gentle with these things, but they break way too easily. Manufacturer should use stronger plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi-use The espresso maker I have at home doesn't store much water in its compartment. After only a few brews, I have to refill the machine. Very annoying! This jug came so handy when I came across it online. I filled this jug with water and connected a plastic tube from its dispenser to my coffee maker. The days of refilling the machine every other day officially came to an end. It is so much more efficient now. Love it! The jug is slim, light, durable, and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slimline Fridge Jug I bought the larger (2.5 gal.) of the Slimline Fridge Jug since I wanted the convenience of having really cold water at the touch of a finger. It is so convenient to be able to hold a glass under the spigot and have a very refreshing drink. So easy to use, best purchase ever!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It leaks We were hoping it would help but all it does is leak all over our fridge. It leaks from the tip as well as the "sealed" part around the tip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only one I can find, so it will have to do... I've purchased about 6 of these. I buy them 2 at a time because they just don't last. They get brittle and crack over time. Every time. Usually around the bottom corners. But I am unable to find a better option, that is also BPA-free, so I buy 2 at a time, to ensure I have one on hand when it inevitably cracks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second Jug Failing Unfortunately the material is not up to the job. First we had the 2.5 gal jug. Over time, one of the lower corners got brittle, and broke when I put it back in the fridge after a refill. Huge mess... Exchanged it for the smaller version, thinking less water volume = less pressure on the thin plastic walls. Low & behold, the same happened. No rough handling, just in and out of the fridge every other day for refills. I imagine if you use it "on the go" it'll break even faster. They need to reinforce the corners or use another material altogether, otherwise this is useless. Could also use a plug of some sorts on the top, for depressurization. Having to twist the cap off and on to vent each time is tiresome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from REALLY GOOD PRODUCT We ordered two Slimline Frig Jugs and they are great. Don't have to lug large milk jugs in and out of the frig .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Deal and a great space saver. We bought 2, one for the main fridge and one for the garage fridge. We use the main fridge one until empty then refill it and put it in the garage fridge. At the same time we put the one that was in the garage in the main fridge. That way we always have really cold water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Function As Designed About the only thing that was good about this jug was it's size. I bought it as a water dispenser in the fridge. We were having a party and I served tea in it. The liquid dribbled out very slowly. There are labels explaining that you need to loosen the lid to have a full stream of liquid. I did this but still did not get a good flow. The other thing it did was "take a deep breath". The flow would stop and the whole container would act as if it took a deep breath. I will tell you that when I returned it the staff at the store was very nice and accommodating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY! The apocalypse is upon us. I never thought this could happen or ever expected it to, but I have made my first TERRIBLE purchase from the container store. Normally the CS has high standards when curating the items they stock; they failed with this one. This product has an air vacuum issue that causes the water to start off with a decent at-best flow and eventually slows to a trickle before you get to the one cup mark. You then need to tilt the jug back and forth for the bubbles to fill the chamber back up to get the water flow back at its *decent at best* level.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good and bad good size, easy carry, but it breaks too easily. we had to replace them every 6 months or so. Looking for the same design but stronger product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet tea! Love the size of this! Being from Texas we drink a lot of sweet tea, I was making a gallon every day. Now I can make almost 3 at a time what a time saver. The jug takes up just a little more room than my 1 gallon pitcher.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disapointing love I continue to buy this jug even though they crack. The first lasted 8 months and developed a small crack in the body of the pitcher above where the spigot is. The second lasted 2 months even though i was much more gentle with it. The downward pressure applied to the jug when you open the spigot seems to stress the plastic too much and it developed a small crack and slow leak. I love how this fits in my fridge, i love having cold water on hand, i love the design. I wish they lasted longer. This is a design flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Water jug! I love this water jug, and have been using it for years. It's easy to fill, clean, and it's BPA free! It is extremely space efficient in my already crowded refrigerator. I've never had a problem with leakage, but i will have to say that it isn't 'unbreakable". I did have to replace a jug because of a crack in the corner. This was, though, due to some clumsy and rough handling on my part, and after several years of wear and tear... Also, I do recommend cleaning out the spigot from time to time, and i generally use a cotton swab to get in there. highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this product I am on about my fifth one of these containers. I use it for tea. I love the way in fits into the frig and how little space it takes up. My only issues are difficulty trying to clean it; and if it's put in the dishwasher, it tends to warp the threads on the top, making it difficult to screw the top on.

Community Q&A

Will tea stain these containers and how do you clean these out?

I'm assuming these are made of plastic. The plastic container I've been using for iced tea over the years has stained so bad that I'm throwing it out. I could fit my hand down through the lid opening and scrub the container out however the opening on these containers look too small to do that. Any suggestions?
Asked by: lexpres61
I have used this for tea and red fruit punches with no staining. Even when they had the same liquid in them for several weeks. I just rinse with hot water between fill-ups.

have a question about this item

when you have this item you do have to unscrew the top to get it to pour & do you have to remove it from the fridge to get it have the drink to come out because I am asking I have one & you have to do all that to get the drink to come out
Asked by: cooltwou
I leave the top a little unscrewed - not off, but not super tight. I would say if you have little ones that might play with the spigot, I would leave the top lid on tightly and unscrew it as needed, but otherwise, mine works great.

How do I get this jug not to leak all over my fridge?

I just bought the Slimline Fridge Jug today and the cashier advised me on how to screw in the spout and keep it at the "3 o'clock" position until the spout piece is screwed on, then turn the spout downward to dispense. She this would avoid water dripping and leaking from the jug. I cleaned the jug with warm soap and water, then filled it, and put it my refrigerator. My son opened the fridge a few minutes later and water had leaked all over our fridge. I tried to readjust it several times, put it back in the fridge, and the leaking continues. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong. I want this to work. I love how slim it is and how much space it frees up in the fridge!
Asked by: SerenityNowGirl
So sorry that this is happening. Maybe check to see that all the spigot "pieces" are there. I believe there is a rubber gasket that completes the seal. Also, the spigot should be very tight.. I put 1 hand inside and 1 outside to twist them together to make sure it's super snug. I think rotating the plug to pour sounds risky to me. Mine have never leaked.

how to clean it?

Asked by: cattdogg
I just rinse it with hot water and let it air dry. We use it mostly for punch type drinks. Always comes out great. We've also used it for milk. I would be sure to rinse that well between fill-ups.

Are these containers safe for acidic liquids like vinegar?

Asked by: scmobile
I can attest that these containers are not chemical resistant. As a chemist, I should have thought to check which plastic it was made of before deciding to use it to store bleach. I didn't and ended up with nearly a gallon of bleach spilling out all over the place. Thought I had ruined my drier and brand new washer (had it on a shelf over the washer and drier). The spigot wasn't the problem, the container itself didn't hold up to the corrosive nature of bleach.

Are these safe for freezing? (for camping)

Asked by: Gale
not sure - never tried freezing anything in it. The material seems very strong/thick, but I would be concerned that the spigot might get pushed and the jug would leak. Maybe a container with no spigot would be better for your needs.

Can the spigot be "locked" in the open position?

If you open the spigot to the "full-open" position, does it remain in that position without continuing to hold the spigot?
Asked by: watermonkey
It's a standard spigot - you can leave it open or closed.
