Issue with colorI purchased six of the grey shirt boxes, however, only two look grey and the other four look brown. I really like these boxes because they fit perfectly in my closet and coordinate with the shoe boxes, however, the color is just mismatched. I went to two stores to exchange, but they only had the brown color as well. Maybe there was an issue with the dye lot. Would love to have them all in grey.

Sturdy, yet not bulkyI am using these boxes for storing seasonal clothes. I have large size which is quite big. The boxes sit on top shelf of my custom closet and look lovely. My issue was that the storage has to look good in the closet and these fit the bill.
I was able to store about 10 of my winter sweaters/sweatshirts along with some sweat pants and scarves.

Measurements are incorrect! Disappointing!***BUYER BEWARE***
I was looking for exactly this item with the measurements listed for a bench I bought. 11" was the width stated on website, as well as, packaging on product. Sadly, it is wider than 11"! I ordered 12 of these, spent a fortune, and now I have to hunt for something else! The width of these boxes are 11 1/8". I know it sounds like ok, not much more, but the cubby holes i had in my bench need 11"! If they had stated that to begin with I would not have ordered these!
And Customer Service said just to "simply return the item". Ok great, thanks for wasting my time! 100% disappointed in Container Store!

Great StorageMy only criticism is that it would be nice to have the labels on the long edges of the boxes as well since most closet shelves won't hold the box with the current label edge sticking out.

PerfectWe recently remodeled our bathroom, and the entrance to our closet is in the bathroom. I had many winter scarfs that were just stacked on a shelf and it didn't look very nice. I bought two of these and they fit perfectly on the shelf and held all my scarfs. So now it looks less cluttered and with the label on the front I know exactly whats in there. I plan to buy more of the larger ones to store more items currently on my shelves.

Elegant yet functionalI bought these shirt boxes to put in my living room media center to hide Wii and Playstation games and controllers. They fit the bill due to the size and the color. They come folded but unfold out to nice strong boxes and you can't tell from looking at them that they came folded. The lid and four sides of the box are hard sided-material over something hard like heavy cardboard maybe. The bottom of the box is just the soft material but there is a material covered hard removable bottom to slide in the box bottom to make it firm when you fold it out to box shape. I can see this working in many situations.

nice quality, really usefulI bought 3 of these to put at the top of my closet for keeping my seasonal clothes. They're pricey but well made and they look good. It was important that the inside be smooth so clothes don't snag on anything. I tried the vacuum bags but it was so unattractive I couldn't bare to use them. These really fit quite of bit of stuff, I'm surprised. I imagine they'll last a long time too.

Durable, useful, attractive boxesI bought these to store off-season clothes (fall clothes during summer) and other stuff I don't frequently need to access. They are great! The size is good- you can store a lot of items but they are small enough that each box can be for a specific type of thing. This helped me organize things well. They are sturdy- the walls stand up straight on their own even when they aren't full. And they look great - I wouldn't be opposed to keeping these stacked in the bedroom corner for example, because they look nice enough to be outside the closet. I like how they are so neutral; many boxes have a pattern that looks kind of stupid.
The only thing that I would have liked is for these to have some kind of plastic insert where you can place a label so you know what's in the box.

Great Storage SolutionI purchased the Large Linen Storage Box as a home for my purses. They were previously held in a wicker basket. This box keeps them neat and organized in the closet. It is sturdy enough that I can store other boxes such as shoes on top.

Perfect for exposed storageI have deep storage shelves in my bedroom, and no matter how much I tried they never looked neat. I was able to purchase a few of the large linen storage boxes to fix my problem. I now have all the storage I need, but the space looks neat and organized. It was the perfect addition and not too expensive!

Great looking storage boxI wanted something that would be aesthetically pleasing to the eye but able to fit my needs. This did the trick. A container store manager gave me an idea about the use of a parker box and thought it was genius. When I got home I tried it but the parker box was a little expensive and the other parker box and file box was good looking but was not strong enough so I returned the parker products and got the linen boxes and they were perfect.
I put the file cabinet that I purchased from the container store also and put it in the linen box, as well as my photo albums and put them in the linen boxes and put them under my new elfa component system. They are sitting underneath my elfa baskets. I love it! It's in the living/dining room and it looks great.

very versatileI just purchased 4 of these linen boxes for my new apartment. They are a great, BIG size, yet fold up for storage. I was a little worried the linen would be wrinkly, but it's not. The neutral color blends in, and I feel like I could use them in more places than the bedroom - they'd be fine in an unused corner of the living room, too. They are good quality and it shows - they don't look cheap.

Great BuyI was able to hide all my sentimental but unattractive odds and ends in one of these large boxes. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the boxes. the quality is the same great quality we have come to expect from the container store. I used a second box to store sweaters and camis.
The Grey Cambridge Storage Boxes are made in China.

We do not have organizers made to fit perfectly modular in these boxes but there are matching drawer organizers for this collection that could work. Although not perfectly to fit the whole size.

Is the large box big enough to hold file folders?

On paper, yes, our Large Storage Box is large enough to accommodate letter-size hanging file folders. But may not be large enough for the frame needed to actually hang the hanging files.
For file storage in box with "decorator" style, we recommend our Letter/Legal Stockholm File Box or our Marten Navy Letter/Legal File Storage Box.

The storage capacity can vary greatly depending on the thickness of the material and the size of the shirts.
