Best shelving we ever have purchased.We have a small broom closet and decided to put up shelving for all our small appliances and larger casserole dishes. Went in with our measurements, left with everything we needed and installed the very next day with no problems at all. Now we are getting ready to redo our laundry room/pantry and cant wait to see the finished product.

Perfect Decision for a small kitchenWe live in the city and we don't have a lot of space in our kitchen. On top of not having much space we had a roommate move out and take the kitchen island we were using to prepare food with. So we were left with a decision to make. We could either find a new island to use, or we could use the Elfa system and customize what we needed for our space. We went with Elfa, and we are overjoyed that we did. The in store experience was great. They helped us get exactly what we needed. The installation was smooth and easy to complete. And it was very easy to make changes to the design if things needed to be moved. The unit is very sturdy and it goes well with everything else in our kitchen.

Finally some storageI had no upper cabinets and this helped provide the storage I needed without the cost cabinets would have been to install. I installed it myself, not too difficult just time consuming (for me anyway). I do like the ease of having everything exposed and easy to get. The upper cabinets will require me (and I am 5'10) to have a step stool to get but that is fine. I have plenty of items to store that I don't need on a monthly basis even.

LOOOOVE the kitchen wall!!!I absolutely love the kitchen wall. I saw it on the Container Store website, but it was too long for my space. So I called customer service and they were able to design it to fit my 5'7" long wall. The designer was very professional and personable. Then to top it off, I was able to get an installer to come on a Sunday at no extra charge. He was terrific also, and had the entire system up and ready to go in about an hour. It would have taken me DAYS to put that thing up myself, so the installation fee was well worth it. Now all my pots and pans have been moved from a varitety of cabinets and kitchen carts to the kitchen wall. All in one place and organized.

Problem SolvedWhen I wanted to outfit my small Brooklyn apartment kitchen with shelving, I was faced with a dilemma. The old plaster walls were in fine shape. But because they were so old, they waved slightly. I couldn't find any shelving because anything pre-fabricated wouldn't attach! That's when I discovered Elfa. Because it is designed to hang from a central bar, the slight irregularity of my walls wasn't an issue. And I was so pleased with the fact that I could choose different levels to efficiently house all my kitchen items. I am now a devotee!

A Dream Come TrueThe White Ventilated Shelves with Decor Fascia I had installed in my kitchen have provided a place for my pots and pans. This enabled me to clean up all the clutter in my kitchen and put it where my pots and pans used to be. I am very happy! The shelves are very sturdy, and the installer was fast, efficient, professional and clean. And they look great, too!

a Dream PantryI had an excellent experience planning my new pantry. The pantry is approx. 15 ft x 15 ft. The desingers in the store worked with me to plan the Platinum Elfa products on each wall. We installed it ourselves-- it was very simple and directions were excellent. We received every piece we needed and had no problems at all returning the few items that we had over-ordered. The organization in this pantry is amazing. The use of shelves, shelf baskets and hanging baskets made tailoring Elfa to my exact needs a perfect match!!! My friends just stand in the pantry with thier mouths hanging open. We are progressively going through the rest of the house and replacing closets with everything ELFA!!! If I can figure out how to post pictures, will share them with you!!

Dream KitchenWhen I remodeled my kitchen, I decided to use the elfa kitchen wall and it has been the best decision ever. I have more storage then with traditional cabinets and the opportunity to display my extensive dish collection. Everyone that sees it loves it.

Good looking and effective storageI recently moved into a new apartment that did not have upper cabinets for the kitchen counter area and have been searching for good looking shelving that would be sturdy enough to store for all my dishware. I was very excited to find this elfa shelving system as it was the look I was going for & the exact length of my counter & wall. It has been up for three days now and I'm very happy with it. My only issue is that the upper rail that the shelves hang from is cut 74" and the shelves are 72" so that it sticks out 2". It would look so much better if it was flush with the shelves. If I had known this before hanging everything I would have had it cut down to size.
This shelving solution should be able to handle a residential-grade appliance such as a microwave. Keep in mind, weight capacity can be affected by many things like wall construction, the installation hardware and the installation process itself. Therefore, we do not have a published weight capacity of any one elfa product or solution. When installed properly and used with the elfa system of hardware, hang standards, brackets & shelves, it will support a considerable amount of evenly distributed weight such as an entire library of books, a complete entertainment system, a pantry full of food, or a playroom full of toys & games.

What is the weight limit on this unit?
Weight limit for each individual shelves and well as combined weight limit for all shelves.

The elfa Kitchen Wall solution is able to hold platters, plates, serving utensils, and much more. Each shelf is designed to work with the elfa solution to distribute the weight safely over the entire solution.
