Drop-front drawers and a slim profile underscore the unique Italian design of our 3-Drawer Shoe Cabinet. The three drawers can each hold three pairs of women's or two pairs of men's shoes - a bar along the front keeps shoes in place when the drawers are opened. This is a premium, space-saving solution for storing shoes in a closet or bedroom.
When fully open, the 4-drawer shoe cabinet measures at 15-1/2'' deep, however, the individual shoe shelf is 12-3/4'' deep.
There is a 2-1/2'' gap between the shelf and the rear.

Arrangement of an odd areaWe just moved into a new townhouse and realized there was an odd area where I could not think of what to put. Plant? Wasted space.
Realized we were taking off our shoes and had no where to hang our jacket. This was a perfect place for the shoe cabinet!

just as i had hopedI live in a small condo and I wanted something to store shoes on my front porch that wouldn't look junky, keep shoes from becoming chew toys for our new puppy, and that would keep shoes organized so that my children can find the pair they are looking for. It works just as I had hoped! I like that all the cabinets open and display all the shoes at once as it will help my boys check all of the shelves before requesting my help.
Ideally find a stud to mount the hardware in, if all you have is drywall I would suggest getting some burlier anchors.

Exactly what I was looking forThis unit is exactly what I have been looking for. We live in a rental that has baseboard heating so I needed a shoe storage unit that could be installed above the heater. I was surprised at how difficult something like this would be to find. I could have bought some cheap wall mounted cubes but that isn't what I wanted - I wanted something that looked a little less like a dorm room. This fit the bill perfectly. Easy to install and good quality. My only *complaint* is what others have said. When you open one section they all open. It's a little weird but not a dealbreaker. And...I'd highly recommend that Container Store do something to promote this solution more...it took me months to find it as it isn't sold in stores and I assumed they didn't have something like it - I asked in the store a couple of times and was told it didn't exist.

Excellent Until the Flimsy Bits BreakThis shoe cabinet is very easy to install and is slim enough to use in an entryway. I've owned mine for almost 3-years and the exterior really doesn't show any wear. However, the black plastic bars that hold the shoes in place can definitely wear out and break with consistent use. And as of 9-26-2018, the Container Store does not sell replacements, so you're out of luck when that happens.
Also, this cabinet definitely does NOT hold 3 pairs of women's heels per drawer and only hold 3 pairs of women's flats per drawer if you turn one pair sideways. For context, I wear a women's size 7.5, so this isn't an issue with my shoes be overly large.

Doesn't fit men's size 12Bought this shoe cabinet for my son as a gift. After waiting 3 months for it on backorder, his athletic sneakers size 12 did not fit. Returning to store. So disappointed as the quality was great.

Great Stylish Solution to Way-Ward ShoesI purchased this item for my small mudroom/laundry room; I needed to corral all the family's shoes to keep the small space somewhat walkable! This did the trick and more; it's well built, stylish, and low impact (doesn't take up much space and isn't an eyesore), while hiding the shoes well. It also holds a bunch of shoes in the 3 compartments. I gave it 4 stars only because, as other reviews have stated, all 3 drawers open at once; you cant just open the top drawer, etc. Also, my kid's shoes sometimes don't stay put; it's definitely made for adult size shoes. But, all in all, I would definitely recommend!

Nice but didn't know all the drawers open togetherI like the cabinet but I didn't realize that you can only open all the drawers at once, you can just open the top or bottom. I think this could eventually lead to more wear and probably breaking. Not sure I would buy again now that I know this.

Great product for a tight entry wayvery slim, holds ~6pairs of shoes.
Doesn't really hold very high tops.
But GREAT for small apartments / small entry ways.
Would be better if they have more colors!

attractive but not well designedThis shoe rack cabinet is very attractive but not a well designed product. I love the container store but I really think this product failed. I put two of them on my wedding registry and when I received them I was so excited and immediately put them together. I wear a size 9 woman's shoe and my husband wears a size 10 men's shoe. My flats fit inside just fine. However I have a pair of stiletto's that don't fit because the heel is too high (it's only a 2" heel). None of my husband's shoes fit because they are all too long. I am still a huge fan of the container store but I do not recommend this product.

Pretty but not practicalThis slim shoe cabinet is possibly the best looking option out there, and therefore one of the most expensive I've seen. The metal exterior is sleek and high-quality, withstanding many bumps with no sign of injury.
Unfortunately once you open the bins, it's a different story. The shoes are held in place by a flimsy plastic bar, and one of mine broke as I was putting the whole thing together. Even in the other two bins, the bar doesn't do a very good job keeping the shoes in place. The result is you have to re-stack all the shoes in order every time you open the thing, otherwise they'll jumble up so that you can't close the door. Also slim shoes like sandals and ballet flats tend to slip into the crack under the door.
Also keep in mind this unit is small. It fits like, 9 pairs of shoes, tops. We use ours just for the shoes on heaviest rotation, which means I still have the dreaded shoe-pile for the rest of my collection. So while attractive, I don't think this unit will be the total solution for most people.

Just what I needed for a small apartmentI remove my shoes as soon as I enter the door. i needed something to hold the shoes. Mission accomplished, it fits neatly by the front door. I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't come with the right hardware to attach to the wall ( I forgot this about the Container Store products). Luckily, I had something and It was a breeze to install. Second, it only holds six pairs of shoes ,if you have wider feet like me, not nine pair.
Overall, it a neat and tidy way to stow your shoes in a small space.

Good...Not GreatI LOVE THE CONTAINER STORE! so much so, that I asked for this for my birthday. I love the compact size when closed and expected to sacrifice the space inside for that. I looked at that to be a reason not to have a gazillion shoes in the garage entry way in the first place.
I did not expect all three drawers to open at once. Maybe I missed that in the product description, but I'd like to be able to open just one of the drawers at a time. My 4 year old bent over and opened the bottom drawer and smacked his bead on middle drawer when it opened too.
I thought for $119, it could have included the mounting hardware and anchors instead of two little rubber rings. This is not something I want to get pulled off the wall so I felt it really should be sturdy for mounting. Leaving it sit on the floor isn't really practical for the way the drawers all open together.
I intended to get two of these units and stack them or mount them side-by-side, but the price seems steep for something I planned for the garage entry so I am not sure I'd get another one like this, but will have to see how it works out with one for now.

Stylish slim shoe cabinetThe metal finished cabinet looks great in our garage. We have three hanging side by side and it looks clean and takes up minimal space. They are definitely the nicest looking cabinets I've had for shoes, but for storing only 6-9 pairs of shoes, it's fairly costly.

Good but not GreatWe recently bought two of these cabinets to organize our small entryway. Their compact size and stated number of shoes it could store looked to be perfect for us. However once we got them home and installed we found that only part of that was true. The small compact size was great they fit very well in the area. But when we started to load in shoes we found that the drawers were too short for my shoes to sit in correctly and close and they would only hold two pairs of my wife's shoes.
I actually had to lay my shoes down sideways and heel to toe and that way I was able to get in two pair. Not the best but it will work. For my wife's shoes we played around and found that we could put in two pairs easily and one other shoe sort of jammed in between. Again will work but certainly not the best.
Now if you are thinking that I must have huge shoes. I don't think that is true. I wear a size eleven and a half. I don't think that is huge.
My recommendation is to go into the store with a few pairs of your shoes and try the cabinet out. That way you can avoid any surprises.
I also found that the included hardware does not really do the job for mounting the cabinets. I recommend going out and buying some self drilling drywall anchors from your local home improvement store. The ones include just don't tighten up and hold correctly. You may also need to add a third screw in the lower portion of the cabinet to keep the cabinet tight to the wall.
I hope this review helps.
I still think this is a good cabinet just not exactly as described by the store.

European Style Enamel coated metalI have searched for many shoe racks and wanted something that would look nice and hide my dirty smelly athletic shoes. This is the one. A disadvantage is that when you open one drawer, they all open. I have lined the drawers with a rubber fabric liner and the strap holds the shoes in nicely. Not good for very high heels over 4 inches. I have mounted it on the wall on top of the baseboard and can even hang clothes in front of it, however, it looks beautiful and is very well constructed because it is made in Italy. It is an enamel metal and very sturdy.

I wear size 10 women's, my husband wears size 10-12 men's.

The depth of the shelf is 12-3/4" so any shoe smaller than that should fit. It will also depend on the style of the shoe.
