Beautiful bin. I used it next to my desk to hold extra office supplies.
Sort of vinyl like but very sturdy. There is very limited give or bend. I have on the kitchen countertop.

smooth or snaggy?
If I reached into (or near) the basket with a knit sweater on, would the basket tend to grab at / snag my sleeve, or is the basket rather smooth to the touch?

Ashcroft Bin Frame Material Question
The metal frame — is it made of a rust proof material or is it coated with a rust proof material? Our newly purchased large Ashcroft basket will sit on a wool rug and be exposed to ocean air when doors/windows are open.

The metal in the framing of our Ashcraft containers is not rust-proof or coated. The container should not be used long-term in the outdoors and care should be taken when the containers are exposed to environments that are not climate-controlled.
