Looking to upgrade my current shelvesBought these because I wanted to upgrade my current shelves. Like the woodgrain color. I don't like how they supplied white hole covers over the woodgrain color. The dowel pins are way to big so therefore I can not stack the shelves like I planned. Too much work to return them.

Vanity space saverDuring this lockdown at home I found a solution to my bath vanity (lack of) organization problem! I bought this shoe shelf and filled it with acrylic drawers and makeup storage holders! It is the first time in 30 years I have been able to keep this area neat and clean looking and have everything I need within reach!
I figure I added about 7.5 sq feet of usable space to my counter!

Serves it purpose.......I got these units to serve as additional shelving for several of my reach-in closets so I wouldn't have to stack stuff on top of stuff. Adding additional fixed shelving is not an option as there is a clearance issue from the front wall of the closet.
Pros:
1. Assembles quickly
2. It is the right size for easy access and clearance. Perfect for shoebox-sized storage containers
3. At $18, the price is right
Cons:
1. Instructions are vague..... I've assembled a lot of things, but someone more inexperienced might experience some frustration
2. Of the two shelves, only one is finished on both sides, meaning the unfinished particleboard will be visible when assembled and in use. You have to decide where to place that shelf so it shows the least. That was disappointing....
Still, it is inexpensive and solves my proble.

Particleboard crackedThis seems to be a sturdy shoe rack and the wood color is nice. I knew when I bought it that it would be cheaper quality since it is particleboard instead of wood. However, in the product I received, the holes for the screws were bored into the particleboard unevenly and not fully (not long enough), causing the shoe rack to be slightly misaligned, and more importantly, causing the particleboard to crack when the screws were screwed in. There was no way to avoid the cracking. I am worried about the integrity of my shoe rack because it is cracked in several places. In addition, the little caps to cover the screws do not stay on at all.

For shoes and more! This would also wok on a closet shelf to acomodate dishes, linens, candles, etc.
Once together it is sturdy and attractive.
A little hard to screw into the heavy particle board. If you have power tools it would help but it is not a requirement.
Great price for doubling your space.
We are using for shoes, but I keep thinking of all kinds of places to put this to use.

Horrible Quality Control - Junk! This is one of the worst manufactured and quality controlled pieces of furniture I've ever seen. Several of the drilled ones are insufficiently deep or at weird angles. Don't waste your money on this.

shelves are not as advertisedI didn't have high expectations as they are very inexpensive. The shelves are low quality, the holes aren't distinct, and the shelve pieces are a bit shifted. The biggest issue is that they aren't as advertised online or shown in store. The bottom and second shelf are so short you can barely fit a short sneaker. Therefore, you can only fit 3-4 tall shoes (heels and boots) on the top shelf and the rest must be very very short. If you buy 2 shelves and place them on top of each other, you have the same issue. This shelf is not ideal for storage and for holding a variety of shoes. I would not recommend.

Perfect for the role it is madeThe shoe rack is perfect for that purpose. Good quality that will last a long time.
Things to consider:
A. It is not a weight bearing piece. You won't be able to stack anything but shoes or light shoe boxes on it.
B. It stacks well on top of like shelving pieces, but anything higher than 2 units would need to be secured to a wall.
C. The perfect shoe size for more than 3 pairs per shelf is men's 8 or women's 10

Good purchase but...I really like the 2-shelf shoe stacker, good quality, easy to assemble and perfect for men shoes which are flat.
However, for women shoes it is different because high heels only fit on the top shelf which means I cannot stack another 2-shelf shoe stacker on top of the previous one. The separation between shelves should be a little bit bigger so high heels could fit in any shelf. Other than that, I would recommend the product.

Great for storage -- Could be classierI purchased these for storage of 14x14 project cases, and they work extremely well. I can get 2 full size and 2 thinner cases on each shelf. They were also easy to put together. My only criticism is that the plastic buttons to cover the screws are white, and on the natural shelves, it makes them look like they are held together with thumbtacks. Since I have these out in the open and not buried in a closet, they do look a bit tacky.

Love this shelfI love this shelf, I'm not using this for shoes, I am using it for small bins & this is placed on my craft table which is an old dining room table. It works great & is the perfect size. I wish I would have bought another one when I had the chance at the store.

Meets My NeedsThe look of this shoe shelf is just what I was looking for and is perfect for my little apartment. Quality wise, it's not the best. You basically get what you pay for. I got the white one and the ends peeled a little bit, but it's no big deal. Ensembling this shoe shelf was easy. There are little covers to cover the nails so that they're not showing. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Dont waste your money!I was looking for a low--cost option for shoe storage and have had good results from the Container Store in the past. Not with this product. The fiberboard disintegrated as I tried to assemble mostly because the pre-drilled holes were misplaced, not deep enough and at an angle so the screw protruded through the surface causing it to crack apart. I threw the product away. Very disappointing and completely out of character for this vendor.

Simple and HorribleI'm sure with the right materials this would be a nice little shoe shelf but I only received part of the assembly instructions, missing parts, and subpar shelves that wouldn't hold the screws provided. Beware purchasing and receiving a kit with missing parts.

Pretty Good BuyI ordered two of these shelves. They sure helped me get my closet organized - actually freed up about 8 feet of shelf space for me. Just note, that 'some assembly is required' - And make sure you have the painted sides to the outside. I got one put together and realized that I have one wrong side out but not a big deal.

not the best quality, but it does the job.Assembly was difficult because it was hard getting the screws to go all the way into the holes. I cannot say that this was the best quality. It seems cheaply made. Particle board. However, if you're just using it for shoes in a closet, it does the job.

worst purchase everI usually like everything I get from the container store but this time was a real bummer. I bought 4 sets for storage shelves and was disappointed in the paint job and the drilling of the holes. Since it was going where nobody could see them, I kept them. Don't know what went wrong but all had the same problems

Stacked against youOne of the worst examples of cheap manufacturing I've ever seen, but I guess at $13 on sale I should have seen it coming a mile away. The pre-drilled screw holes didn't line up, the particle board is of poor quality, and even if I did re-drill it on my own, the new holes would be too close together and weakened enough to make the unit reliable. Definitely not a quality item by any stretch of the imagination. Red flag this one to be taken off the inventory list!

It's a Shoe RackSo, it's a shoe rack, and it works as a shoe rack should. It holds shoes. It's sturdy, but I don't see it taking a lot of strain, so I think they'll hold up for at least a few years. Holds about 3 pairs of men's shoes per shelf. I bought 3 shelves, so I get about 7 rows (including the floor), so it holds about 21 pairs of shoes. If you set them out end to end, instead of stacking, you could hold 27 pairs of shoes, because you gain 2 floor "shelves" by doing so, but stacking them makes them more compact, so I'd go with that. And if you have more than 21 pairs of shoes, either you need a bigger closet, or you should buy more of these.
All in all, a good product for holding shoes.

Heels don't fitMy 3 inch heels didn't fit in the shelf! This would only be good for flats and sneakers.
How many shelves can be safely stacked on top of one another?
I would like to cover the height of the wall which at 95 inches would be 8 stackers. I would like to use for women's shoes. Thanks.
Asked by: Babby
If you secure them to the wall with 2.5” L brackets, you could definitely put them all the way up a 95’ wall. As you assemble it, add two L brackets to top of the back edge of the top shelf on each unit. I’d do it just inside where the side piece connects to the top shelf. Then have a friend hold it up against the wall and drill the wall screws in. You might consider using anchors with your wall screws to make sure it’s completely secure to the drywall. Good luck!
