Great for seasonal storageWhile these are intended for shoes, I stumbled upon them when I was trying to find a way to store seasonal decor including figurines. Great for stacking sandalsI initially bought this box in plum to store my underwear. I love how the color was tinted so that people can barely see in. I bought the clear shoe box months later. I was able to stack three pairs of flip flops and a pair of sandals inside. I bought a second box to hold two pairs of TOMS vertical side up and a third box to hold travel makeup cases. This is a great box and slides easy under racks and closets. A must have!!

Great purchaseI have been buying these not for shoes, but for yarn. I use them to sort out yarn by weight. They are clear so I can see what’s inside,I do use labels. They are stackable and fit perfectly on my shelves. Think beyond shoes for using these. You won’t be disappointed. There are incredibly inexpensive.

Great for crafts, not just shoesI have a dozen of these and have never put shoes in them. I use them to hold clear stamps from Lawn Fawn, Penny Black, and other brands who make clear stamps of the same size. It makes it easy to sort through stamps. The boxes stack nicely and keeps everything dust free. The exterior of the boxes are super easy to clean. Container Store also offers a discount if you buy 6. I love, love these boxes! Maybe one day I'll put some shoes in them.

Perfect SizeI really like the Tall Shoe Box; although I don't put shoes in them. I use this box for storing things in my closets because I don't have to label the boxes...I just look. Lotions and soap bottles fit beautifully in them. I also use them in my garage because most shelves hold only two of the bigger boxes. Now I can slide the Tall Shoe Box with the smaller items in between those bigger boxes.

Not At All What I Expected!Unfortunately, I had to return this product. I was under the impression that the OUR TALL SHOE BOX would’ve been wider in width and taller in height. However, I was wrong and possibly miscalculated the measurements. The OUR TALL SHOE BOX is a product that is made precisely and only for woman shoes. The container is really slim in width, but prefect in height for high heels and boots. So if you’re a man or a woman who wears men sizes 9 and up in footwear this product isn’t for you unless you wanna squeeze your shoes in and lose the form to your shoes than be my guess lol. On that note...the OUR MEN SHOE BOX was a better choice for me!

Best purchase ever!!!I have used thes boxes for craft storage because they are the perfect size to store blank and completed cards of all sizes. I also use them to store stickers and embellishments that are sorted by theme. I also use the large men's shoe boxes for specialty 8x11 paper and extra large embellishments. These containers help me to stay organized and protect my craft supplies.

Very handy boxes, waste literally no space on embellishments like curved edges or slanted walls, it's just the bare minimum necessary to make sure they are convenient and easy to use. Boxes fill shelf spaces with minimal gaps, and because they are translucent it's easy to tell what is inside each box. I bought mine for storing art supplies, not for shoes (can't really wear high hills), and it's amazing how well the box dimensions work for a wide range of papers and drawings tools!

Can you be in love with a shoe storage system?All I can say is that my shoes are stored beautifully. I am happy to be able to have my shoes standing up to preserve the shape and intricate detail of some of my favorite shoes. Also, I love that these boxes are airtight. These shoes are stored deep in my bedroom closet, and I think this will keep them beautifully preserved until I am ready to wear them again.

What size shoe do these fit?
I wear a women's size 11 and I am going to order the men's shoe boxes but I need boxes that will fit my heels as well. Will these boxes fit a size 11?

I wear an 11 and they don't fit all my shoes. Anything wide is potentially a problem. Anything with a pointed toe or that is chunky the length is a problem.
It really depends on the shoe, but if you're smaller than a 10 you're probably fine.
You may have to turn the shoes opposite directions to make them fit- none of mine will fit side by side like they are shown in the photo here.

Sometimes, but you would need to be rough. It is totally useful so it is not too much effort to open - the right combination of closed and op3en.

What, generally, are safe uses of propropylene bins?
Need to hold tons silk, wool, beads, pearls, silver--these items are edible or tarnish or dry out. All love dust! Small items fit Amac boxes, then go into CS bins. Does CS have list: propropylene OK for all fabric except______, all metals except ______, all flours? Are bins OK w/polymer clay, but not silver clay? Does Amac plastic in bins produce fumes? Does CS suggest "don't seal this" or "use this instead of storing ____ in propropylene"? Learned eons ago: pure cotton breathes. Petrochemical fumes or any airtight seal makes cotton rot. So I now use Elfa lids on Elfa mesh (only) drawers: cotton breathes; lids deter dust. Petro's uses have also changed. So is propropylene safe for "A" but not for "B"? Or it's OK for "B" if aired regularly. (Wools & flours are both frozen. Really!) Even a few tips are welcome!!!!!

First off, we can clear up the food-safe issue: all of Our Clear Storage Box collection (of which Our Tall Shoe Box is part) is not approved safe for food storage. See all our plastic food-safe storage items in our Kitchen department.
For textiles, we recommend natural fibers be stored, as you pointed out, in breathable containers - cotton canvas, for instance. Synthetic fibers can be stored with success in polypropylene containers or PEVA bags - such as Our Clear Storage Boxes or our PEVA Clear Storage Chests.
