Perfect for closets!
I bought this on sale for Black Friday for my very small closet. I love this elfa stack! A lot of clothes fit in it (workout, pajamas, pants, tanks). it is little expensive but worth every penny. I will buy one for my husband and son soon.

size 8.5 heels fit on their sides, heel to toe
They work. I read a comment about the lack of air will ruin the shoes. That's scary. I might drill holes to be safe. IDK about side by side. But as long as they fit side by side heel to toe I'm good! These were too small for my booties. Will order tall box for them.

I love these shoe boxes!
I love to organize; heck that's what I do for a living - from a closet to a convention - it doesn't matter. And I absolutely love these shoe boxes! They are just the right size for countless applications. Initially, I will admit that I purchased these to organize shoes in my closet. I label the outside of them and they are stored on a higher shelf in my closet - and I rotate my shoes seasonally. So I really am only opening them twice per year for the most part - to rotate what I need. One label on one side for fall/winter shoes; the other side labels for spring/summer shoes. My shoes stay well maintained, polished; and ready to go for the next season.
I then started using these shoe boxes all over the house. We have them in our garage - on a shelf to organize different drill bits, drapery hardware, gloves, zip ties - you name it. I have also used them in my pantry for various items. And also my linen closet these work like a dream. (See attached photos). I use a combination of the "Our Shoe Box" and the "Men's Shoe Box" for things; and this keeps everything organized.I also use the "Tall Shoe Box" for certain spaces.
These shoe boxes are just so much more affordable than other clear storage boxes or systems on TCS website; and also other brands. They have different sizes that accommodate various items; and are uniform to make the most of your space. The available sizes do not meet all needs, and it is then that I will look for something more specific and determine if that item is worth the investment. In the end, I'm storing STUFF; so I want to be as practical and budget conscious as possible. I don't need the vessels to store stuff in to be more expensive than perhaps what I am even putting in them.
My recommendation is to determine what you need to store, how often you access these items; and perhaps these shoe boxes might work for you in not just storing shoes!

I’d purchase again
I’m satisfied with this purchase. The price is great, and they do what I need them to do. They are great for toy organization, and the colors are vibrant but still see through. I can see these being used for multiple purposes around the home. Using the measurements from these containers, I built shelves to hold four small and four large for my three year old’s closet. She loves having all her toys within reach and even putting everything away in its designated space once she’s done playing. :)

Not good for shoe storage
I purchased these for shoe storage. I didn’t realize that the lack of air would ruin my shoes. Granted The shoes were not super expensive but I had to throw out about ten pairs.

Hard to fit women’s size 11 shoe’
I bout the 20 pack of the women’s shoe boxes and I really love them but I had to squeeze my women’s size 11 shoes in the boxes so now the tops tend to not sit flush in top with most of my shoes. My athletic shoes, just didn’t even fit. That was a disappointment because I bought a case of 20 and have barely used half of them. Now I plan in ordering the men’s shoe boxes for my athletic shoe. I’m still trying to figure out what boxes to get for my lace up chunky boots that stop at the ankle and a few others.
The boxes do seem to be very sturdy and you can see right through them. When the sho does fit in you hear a clicking sound letting you know the top is securely on. I will use the remainder of my boxes for miscellaneous storage.

Too narrow for women size 8 shoes!?!
These shoeboxes might be fine for children's shoes, but I can't put my size 8 ballet flats side by side lying flat. They are also too narrow for my sneakers lying on their sides, and definitely too short for my loafers. These could easily fit my house slippers though.

Thrilled with the Boxes
I had a total closet melt down, the hold thing fell down, rack, shelf's, hooks it was a mess. I had Container Store come out and redo my closet, then the magic started. I got a case of the Shoe boxes and it just all worked. I also got Boot and the Tall shoes boxes. I have had other boxes and have paid more money for them but the quality of the boxes don't even compare. The boxes I got from Container store were of a total different quality, how they feel and stack is just outstanding and I would tell anyone to shop here First and Last. Just don't worry about what anyone else has.

Shoe obsessed
I love these shoe containers they fit all my flats/sandals/heels. I was able to double up when using it for my flat sandals and loafers with no problem. I wear a size 7 in women.

Does not fit all my heels
I bought these for my heels without platform. I could not a lot of my heels even the one that were 3 inches. I would recommend for flats and very low heels shoes. I wear a size 8

Shoe Boxes for Organizing
I just moved into a new apartment in a different state. I never thought to check measurements of the place but my furniture would not even fit, so we had to leave it on the truck and find a storage space. They have these compartmental cubby holes with doors as closets, or "California Closet" style in the bedrooms organizing in minimal space. Purchasing from Container Store was easy ~ better quality and guess what? None of the other shoe boxes online would fit the cubby holes. They require 8" for length and is 18" wide. Sterlite and all the others had 8-1/2" or 8-1/4" length. So it was a no brainer. Container Store was the only retailer which offered 8". Simply brilliant. I ordered 5 right off the bat but will need more, I'm sure. Also, the box dims will allow for 2 across, side by side because there is 18" width per each cubby hole. I believe they are 7.5" wide or 15". Plenty of room!

Affordable and great quality
Highly recommend. Plus, it won't break your bank account. The quality and the minimal look is perfect. I was able to fit my size 7 ankle boots in these without smashing the shoes. I love how the lid is slightly rounded so that it will fit slightly wider shoes. Definitely reorder more.

Versatile Shoebox
I have bought many of these shoeboxes and use them for many things. Of course, I started out buying them to store my shoes in. And, they do a fabulous job of that. They stack nicely and I print out a label for each box so I know what is inside. This includes heel size, color and style. Living in the South, I have summer shoes (sandals) and winter shoes.
I also put these boxes to many other uses and they can be found in every room in my home.
For example, I store my daily make-up in one as it makes it easy to pull out from under my sink, hairbrushes in another, nail polishes, lotions, cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink, garden plant supplies, pens/pencils, little girl hair ribbons & hair bands, stationary etc.
There are a million uses for these boxes and I love them!

Sturdy Box
I use Our Show Box for our booth at tradeshows or under our tabletop booth at conferences. They're great boxes to store pens, staplers, business cards, etc. and all the little stuff you need when exhibiting but don't want to have out in your booth. They also travel well and hardly break or crack. I've only had 2 crack and break between shipping from other shows because the person that packed it in the box just threw it in without carefully packing it. Great price point for these boxes when you buy in bulk.

Lots of uses
I purchased a number of these shoe boxes for shoe storage and other closet organization. I love the boxes from the container store because unlike other storage solutions I find them higher quality, modular and reusable.
I have a new puppy and for some reason she is obsessed with these boxes! They are sturdy enough to run through the dishwasher and stand up to her puppy chewing. I have even put one in her pen. Totally unexpected but welcome surprise in the hectic early puppy days.

I absolutely love these bins and they are truly functional and keep your belongings protected. I purchased 1 case of 20, and then realized I needed more so I purchased 3 more cases. The bins keep dust out and work great through the humid and rainy days that can make the atmosphere moist. Excellent find! Wanted to insert a photo but restrictions.

The Perfect Shoe Box
I have gone back to The Container Store three times to purchase more shoe boxes! I love how I can easily see all of my shoes and they fit perfectly in between a bookcase and the wall. I love how they are clear and made of sturdy plastic! I only trust the quality of these boxes and will not purchase any others. Be careful, though-- it is cheaper to buy 5 boxes individual as it is to buy the case. I asked a store worker about this and she also thought it was odd.

The boxes I’ve had for 10 years look almost as new as my most recent purchase. The lids lock in place (small lip), reasonably priced (especially in bulk), and they last. They’re my first and most consistent recommendation for any closet reorganization on a variety of budgets.

Perfect!
I was constantly having to dig around in shoe boxes to find my shoes and I have so many I would forget what shoes I had.
These shoe boxes are exactly what I needed to get organized and my closet looks 100x better. The lids stay on and the boxes stack perfectly. I got the men’s shoe boxes for sneakers and the women’s shoe boxes for flats. I will be buying boot boxes and tall boxes for high heels later.

Love It!!
I love my shoe boxes!!!! Every pair can be seen and all are organized. Each new pair of shoes gets their own box. I walk into my closet and everything is in place. Now that makes me happy!!!!!!!

Don’t let the other brands fool you

Taking it back!
A bit narrow, only sble yo pite ballet shoes! Not high enough to put 2 inch high sandals. Could not use it for my dond or husbands shoes either since they are very narrow and only fot a size 9 or 10 maximum!

Show boxes in high places, spot shoes easily
I’ve used Container shoe boxes for 20 years, but couldn’t see the shoes well on my higher shelves. I took pictures of each pair of shoes and dropped in the front of each shoe box. Now I can see all my shoes easily!
And when I switch my summer sandals to lower racks in the closet, I put the winter shoes in the same boxes, turn the box 180 degrees, and have the winter shoe picture on the other side.

Best Quality Shoe Storage I've found
I purchased so many of these boxes, as well as the larger boot boxes, to organize all of my shoes on a top shelf. I love that they fit different types of shoes, allow me to see what is in each box, and also stack beautifully! Very happy Container Store customer!
