We partnered with The Container Store to show you how we organize and maintain a very often-used yet underappreciated space… the bathroom!
No matter what size or layout your bathroom space is, having it thoughtfully organized will inevitably shorten your morning and bedtime routines. Who doesn't want that? Check out our tips to get started, below!
Remove Excess Packaging
Removing items from their original packaging and placing them in clear containers, such as the InterDesign Linus Storage Binz, is one of the simplest ways to instantly make your space more aesthetically pleasing. Plus, it's super practical and an excellent way to see when you're running low on your bathroom essentials. Don't let that bag of cotton balls get squished behind everything else in the back of the cabinet, store them on your countertop in the Bliss Acrylic Canisters for easy access.
Inserts, Inserts, Inserts
Drawer inserts and organizers are our absolute favorites, which is why we use them in every room of the house. They allow us to maximize space and keep items contained - instead of letting every drawer become a clutter catchall. Maintaining drawer organization is so much easier this way. In the drawer below, we used the Clarity Cosmetic & Vanity Organizer.
Utilize Vertical Space
Whether it's inside of a cabinet, on top of the counter or under the sink, many of us have space that's not being used to its fullest potential. We recommend using clear, stacking drawers to store the loose odds and ends so you'll never go hunting for nail clippers or bobby pins again.
Keep Kitchen Essentials Accessible
Designate one drawer or a section of your cabinet for everyday essentials. Keep these items in a divided container or contained in drawer inserts. This will ensure all your necessities are where you need them, when you need them. For this project, we used InterDesign Linus Drawer Organizers.
Don't Forget To Edit
We've all held onto a makeup sample or free hair product with the intention of using it only to find it unopened under our sink two years later. And how many of us really use those little soaps we brought home from the hotel? The key is to only keep the products you frequently use and love. Remove the products you don't need or use, and those that have expired. And remember, you can donate any unexpired products to a local shelter.
Make It Personal
One of our personal favorite tips is to keep feminine products in a divided bin, such as the InterDesign Linus Small Divided Makeup Bin or a Divided Lazy Susan, in a space where they can be accessed immediately. And don't forget — organize your products to make it easy to see when it's time for you to stock up. This will ensure you'll never be caught without what you need!
Don't Be Afraid To Display
No matter what area of the home, we know people use what they see. If you have a beauty product or makeup collection you use often or want to encourage yourself to use more, don't be afraid to show it off. An acrylic organizer, such as the Clarity 1-Drawer Stacking Cosmetic Organizer, or set of drawers works wonderfully to display your products and ensure you'll actually them. For this project, we used the Clarity 3-Drawer Stacking Box.
Keep The Emergency Supplies Handy
Store medications and first-aid supplies together in one organizer. We recommend the InterDesign Linus Catch-All Cabinet Organizer to ensure everything is easy to grab in an emergency. Each of our family members have separate caddies for our children and adults in our own homes. If you have little ones, this might be the best solution for your household.
