simplehuman® 40 lb. Pet Food Can

Our simplehuman® 40 pound Pet Food Can is simple for humans to open, but impossible for dogs. The locking lid and thick rubber gasket create an airtight seal that keeps up to 40 pounds of pet food dry and fresh. Air suspension shocks control the motion of the lid for a slow, silent close. It also includes a magnetic scoop that attaches neatly under the lid.

convenient large pet food container Easy to open, airtight container. I use it to store a 30 lb bag of food. There's some room to spare but I like to leave the food in the bag and just cut open the top. The scoop inside the lid of this container is very convenient. A little pricey but well made and the right size for my dogs food. May 13, 2014
Pretty Pet Food Can This is one of the nicer looking pet food containers I have come across, and it's easy to open with one hand. The scoop doesn't stay on, but I have a separate cup I use to measure my dog's food, so I just removed the scoop from the can. April 7, 2014
Easy to use We have been using the can for almost a month and really like it. You can open and close it with one hand. It seals well and is compact. The under the lid scoop storage is super handy. March 18, 2014
Great Product I love this product. It is sturdy and big enough to hold a month's worth of food. The only drawback is that the scooper sometimes gets dislodged. This happens infrequently, and is not that big of a deal. Price is a little steep for what it is. March 5, 2014

I noticed the stainless version has a liner, I would think stainless was food safe, so not sure about this one.

This is food safe and does not require a liner because it is made from plastic.

Answer:
The product should snap onto the back of the can. While the product does not come with instructions, it should come with an instructional sticker on the lid. If you keep encountering issues with this particular product, please contact our customer solutions department or LiveChat with us.
