simplehuman® 32 lb. Pet Food Container
Looks and works great!
Bought this to store dog food for our brand new (to us) 50-lb dog. We have a Simple Human garbage can that we love and I wanted something that kind of "matched" and I didn't mind looking at all the time.
While pricier than other plastic versions, it's looks and form really work for us. The lock is solid and our dog has not been successful in opening it or tipping over the can.
My favorite feature is the built in scooper which is magnetically stowed in the lid. Makes it a breeze to feed our dog. Highly recommended.

I have 2 large dogs and have always had a problem finding a container that would hold the large bags of dog food. These work wonderful. Easy to open and close, but air tight to keep pests out. These containers also have wheels, so it's easy to move them around.

This pet food container is perfect for our house. It's tight seal is wonderful, considering the food we buy smells awful and he inside our home. We NEVER smell it unless the container is open. The multi-step open/close took a little getting used to - but now it's no problem and we're used to it. The stored scoop in the lid is also fantastic. A little $, but worth it compared to the other flimsy/ugly pet food storage containers out there. The removable bin inside makes it easy to clean out.
Our Alaskan Klee Kai isn't huge dog and is well behaved, so maybe that's why he doesn't test the "dog proof" aspect of the design. The closure mechanism gets a thumbs up from us. Oh yeah, did I mention how great the airtight seal is?!?!? Food stays fresh and we NEVER smell it when the container is closed. (Sorry to be redundant - this feature was just very important to us.)

Not dog-proof enough
I bought this container in a vain attempt to keep my 65lb lab mix from dumpster diving in the kitchen trash. Rather than use it as a pet food container, I intended to use it as a trash can because it locks. I had some success for the first few days, but on the 4th day I found the container on the living room floor, lid open, and the garbage strewn all about. I think it might work if you have a smaller, less persistent pooch, or maybe if it's full of dog food it would be too heavy to knock over and drag. In any case, it didn't work for me, and back into the crate went the dog! :)
