Baggins was hesitant at first... Although my eight year old Bichon FrisÃ©e, Baggins is an adventuresome little guy, he is cautious of change. Suspicious of new things. His (now) previous feeder; traditional wooden base with stainless bowls, and a "hand down" from our now passed 1st dog was in serious need of retirement. Also, Baggins was starting to have to creen his neck to get to food and water, ok behavior for the bird, humbling or humiliating to him depending on the day! I put the ancient pet feeder in the closet one day and moved the collapsible pet feeder into place. As all devoted pet parents do, I talked him through my behavior of washing & filling the bowls. He watched feigning ambivalence. He snorted and sniffed. He startled when I snapped the bowls in (a feature I appreciate as this combined with the bowl capacity collapsing makes for less spillage when I need to pick up the feeder and move it to clean the floor for example.). I removed myself from the room casually and he remained. Peering through the crack In the door I watched with anticipation as he approached the feeder, did the little dog perusal of his space, then backed a few inches away and lowered himself sphinx-like in front of the feeder. Darn! As I was contemplating how to express encouragement to embrace this all important aspect of health and happiness in his life, he stood slowly, did his second visual scan for potential predators, (and no doubt the nice but neurotic pet mom) and sidled up to the feeder! Success in record time. I would like to take credit for this, however, I think it more likely that the brown and green tones of the feeder itself are soft and familiar. They are in his leash, his bed, his winter fleece and such! It is a myth that dogs don 't see color, I read that on the Internet, just as you are now reading this review! May 5, 2013

Love It!!! These collapsible bowls are SOOO awesome! They can go in the dishwasher, It colapses down for easy travel. They are sturdy and BPA free!! We just LOVE them and so does our "fur-baby"! March 21, 2013

I bought this for my cat after she started to have to bend down really low in order to eat her food. This pet feeder is a godsend. I like to travel sometimes with my cat so its nice to have the option of collapsing the bowls and stand so that it fits better in my purse or travel bag. Definitely a recommend if you have a pet and looking for a bowl upgrade. March 19, 2012
