Love My Closet
Pre-Elfa my 7x7 walk-in closet was stuffed and disheveled. There were shoes lining the periphery, the clothes were so tightly packed I couldn't see what I had, and there was nowhere to put accessories. Now, with the wonderful new custom-designed Elfa system, I have room for everything that used to be in my closet, and a lot of things that were previously stored elsewhere. And, there is actually space between my clothes. It's amazing!
The professionals at the Container Store designed a closet with me that matched my specific needs. Still, as we began installing the closet it became clear that I needed more hanging space. There was no problem returning some shelves and purchasing hanging rods instead. It's great to know that this closet is so easily changeable. With other systems my husband and I looked at, the design was fixed. We like the flexibility of Elfa. This closet is so terrific, we have decided to do all of the closets in our house.
A final observation - the system is easy to install yourself. The online video is extremely helpful, and the components are so well made that they present no installation challenge. My husband did it in a weekend.
We looked at several other systems before settling on Elfa and have no reservation recommending it to others.

Happy Closet Dance
Like most girls, I did the happy closet dance after my custom Elfa closet was installed. My husband even was really happy with the results.
In-Store experience:
The staff in store spent almost 3 hours with me to build the perfect closet to meet my needs. We got creative and maximized on product and space.
Product Order/Pickup:
We opted for order online via ebates so I could get more rebates with in-store pickup. The Container Store in-store pickup is the most efficient and time-saving thought ever. The staff was extremely nice and helpful in loading the car.
Installation:
Our install guy was awesome! He was late but made sure to call us and communicated estimated time of arrival and was extremely polite. Once there, he worked non-stop for 8+ hours without taking a break (not even for lunch). He was hard working and pointed out minor house issues that he found while he demo'ed the old shelves out. He did a great work on dismantling the old shelves, patch work and installing of new product. He also made sure to ask us if we wanted to keep any of the old shelves or hanging rods before he completely demolished them. He used his own tools and even his own vacuum to clean up before presenting our new closet. After he showed us the new closet, he went through items that were leftover that we could return for our money back, offered other suggestions for other products that would go with it.
Overall, I'm one extremely happy person. I look forward to doing laundry now just so I can put it up in the closet!

What a difference ELFA's design & products can do!
With the tremendous assitance of ELFA's designer & closet products we took your typical single shelf and single hanging pole walk-in master closet to its highest spatial use efficiency possible.
The design included ventillated white shelving, hanging mesh drawer baskets with birch fascia & highly flexible rod and shelving combinations. Emphasis on modular vs. fixed design.
End result - floor to 10 foot ceiling sections utilized for long hang, short hang, fixed shelves and pull-out baskets that attractively optimized entire closet space.
We are working with ELFA again on another closet redesign. It is the best and only choice for us.
