Elfa to the Rescue! i love Elfa i move constantly, and each time i move i can take my Elfa with me. Each time i move i get to do a different layout, and seem to find new ways to expand, over and over and over again. this is so much better than bookcases that don't always fit the new place! March 19, 2012
Messed up - still fit I messed up my measurements and the system still fit into my odd shaped closet. I have had my system up for years and it is still strong. March 2, 2010
Excellent part of whole system We have elfa shelving in all but one of the closets in our townhouse. This element is the only thing actually bolted to the wall, and the support and starting point for any of the ventilated shelving. It is solid, dependable and easy to install. March 3, 2010
So Easy to Install I purchased an elfa system for my tiny bedroom closet. It was incredibly easy to install... that most difficult part of the job was removing the old shelves. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. March 4, 2010

Answer:
The elfa Easy Hang Top Tracks allow for a more forgiving installation in your home. You simply mount it near your ceiling area, and then you can place the standards (long vertical components) on the track. You can slide the standards along the top track to adjust the spacing without additional installation.

If you go with our wall mounted standards, you can also install our elfa solution, however, the spacing of the standards must be precise, otherwise the shelves will not fit on the solution. You will also need to make sure that each standard is level, otherwise the shelves will not mount properly.

Answer:
Using the Easy Hang track also allows a bit of flexibility should you decide to change your shelf arrangement. Also, there will be fewer holes in the sheetrock, and those will be in a less noticeable spot. I have this system in 2 bedrooms and two "home office" spaces as well as in the garage. We are getting ready to move, and it is pretty simple to take this down and put it up in the new garage

Answer:
Weight capacity can be affected by many things like wall construction & the installation process itself. Therefore, we do not have a published weight capacity of any one elfa product. When installed properly and used with the elfa system of hardware, hang standards, brackets & shelves, it will support a considerable amount of evenly distributed weight such as an entire library of books, a complete entertainment system, a pantry full of food, or a playroom full of toys & games.

Answer:
Our elfa top track has holes spaced every 8'' to support the solution. We sell both anchors and screws that can be utilized in each hole, depending on if you hit a stud or not. We do not recommend skipping holes as we cannot guarantee the integrity of the system if it is installed improperly.

For a wall with a 96" high ceiling, the recommended height of the Top Track is 89" or 90" high. That way, a power drill can be used near the ceiling without hitting it.
