Not perfect, but pretty good... This labeler has a good feel and seems very close to, if not the same as, the Brother PT-1180. It's great that it comes with batteries and label cartridges in the carrying case, so you're ready-to-go once you get it. The keys have a good feel and you know whether you pressed something or not and the display is easy to read. The unit may seem large for those with small hands but it sits flat, so it's easy to use on a desk too. The print quality is decent and the printing seems like it is laminated over, so I'm not worried about the printing scratching off of the label. One thing I don't particularly like is the fact that there's always a 1-inch lead on each label. No matter what you set the label margin to, the front (left side) of the label always has a minimum of 1 inch, and though it prints a line for where you need to trim the label, you still have to cut off the leader yourself. This 1-inch leader leads to a good amount of waste, so now I set it to continuous print, print a bunch of labels at once in a strip, and cut them myself. March 3, 2010
BEST LABEL MAKER YOU CAN BUY! As a professional organizer, I have used a number of label makers throughout the years and can say that this label maker is my favorite. The Container Store label maker in my opinion it's more durable, longer lasting and easier to use when compared to other label makers. As long as you don't pull on the tape before it's done printing, this product can last forever. I've had mine for 7 years now and it's working as good as when I first bought it. This label maker provides you with easy access to a number functions to choose from, unlike other label makers that take forever to figure out with even less functions. Style, size and margin for example, are some functions that help you change the look of what's printed. The label tape that is used for this product is great as well because it provides you with a large roll that will last a long time. Also, the label tape doesn't leave sticky residue after it's removed. March 18, 2013
I can't stop labeling! I just love this product. It's compact, it comes in it's own case, and it's so simple to use. It's so fun that I can't stop labeling. ha! I totally recommend it. July 1, 2014
Great Label Maker! I use this VERY frequently and have labeled many, many items in my house. Mainly, I use the white tape with the black lettering and stick the labels on my clear, Container store boxes, file boxes, and magazine holders. You can label boxes in storage areas, pantries, closets, toy rooms, craft areas, mudrooms, laundry rooms and more! Spend a little time learning the settings before getting started and get ready to label and sort all kinds of things that need a place in your house. April 21, 2014
