Keeps Odors at Bay We keep this under our kitchen sink and throw scraps in as needed. I never notice any smells from the food--the filter does a good job at containing smell. We don't use the compost bags in it--while it would save a bit of cleanup, the bin is easy to wash when needed (another benefit of this one over other options). April 26, 2014
great filters What more can one say about charcoal filters that work like a charm!? April 10, 2014
Wonderful! I bought this for my mom for her birthday. She asked for it actually. She loves it! It holds a decent amount of food before she takes it outside to the compost bin. Before, the food would stink up the kitchen quickly, but now, the filters help keep it contained! March 21, 2014
Space saving and still durable after three years I bought this kitchen counter compost bin about three years ago. It has held up to regular use quite well and is space saving. Also dishwasher safe (not the filters). The lid's two filter system has its benefits. but the lid's interior design, to accommodate the filters, holds water (even with the vent holes) after it has been washed and rinsed, whether hand washed or in dishwasher. Not a big deal but need to remember that after you've washed the lid, you have to be sure to dry it thoroughly (between both interior tiers) with a towel to soak up the water retained by the tiers before you put the lid 'back in action.'
