11 gal. Step-On Trash Can
great for the price
The pedal makes it so convenient and I live how it conceals the trash bag when closed. Def worth the price.

Just what I was looking for.
Our old sturdy plastic kitchen step-on can finally took a hit from a three-year-old.
It had lasted twenty years, and when the pedal broke I began looking for a replacement.
What I was finding was heavy, expensive, metal needing polishing -- whatever.
We needed something to open with a pedal when our hands were occupied with drippy stuff, something lightweight enough to move around the kitchen to be close to big, messy tasks, and something that didn't require a hefty bank withdrawal (just for a kitchen garbage can!)
After about two years, I found this white Sterilite step-on can, which is just the ticket. It's taller than our old one, which is nice for more comfortable use, but that does make a minor problem too, because some brands of tall kitchen garbage bags are about an inch too short for the can. I solved this easily by putting a small piece of wood in the bottom of the can, which raises the bag enough to fit securely over the lip of the can. This can probably won't last 20 years, it's a little too lightweight for that, but then, we may not last another 20 years either. This can is attractive - unobtrusive and sleek.

exactly what I was looking for
The Container Store strikes again with providing the perfectly needed item! I was looking for a basic white plastic trash can with pedal that held a standard 13 gallon kitchen trash bag, and was less than $20. Tada! Plastic cleans easily and can is constructed much better than my old one. Pedal is easy to operate. Just another reason to keep buying from The Container Store!

Easy trash can
Simply the best, better than all the rest! Says it all, it is easy to use and if your hands are full you simply step on pedal at bottom to open.
I have had others where the lid came off too easily and without the pedal to open. This is my third to replace the others throughout the house. You wont regret it.
