Easy to Clean I chose this can because it was less expensive and seemed easy to keep clean. It has been our main trash can for several months now and we are happy with it. It does not sit flat against the wall but we knew this and it fits our space nicely. Like - Looks nice. Lid is smooth underneath with no plastic or screws making it easy to keep clean. Fingerprints don't show much and easy to wipe. Opens by step or by lifting lid. Always closes quietly. Liner is removable so easy to rinse when needed. Don't Like - There is a small, smooth, round metal lip around the outer edge of the lid. It is underneath and not seen until the lid is lifted. I have to wipe this regularly...especially in the back where the lid connects to the can. It is easy to wipe but I wish it were not there. Also, the lid does not open all the way back and sometimes doesn't stay open when I want it to. Others have written the liner has broken but we have not had this issue. My 13 year old son usually takes out the trash with little trouble. He did complain at first about lifting out the liner until he got used to it. Overall we like it. Would buy again. March 18, 2013

Pretty good for the price I like this can a lot, I have had it for over a year. For the price for a stainless steel garbage, it is a good deal, especially if you can get it when it is included in a sale, like I did. However, the step function is a little finicky and does not always work well, and the back piece will wear away the paint on the wall behind it unless you find a way to prevent the friction of the opening and closing from rubbing the wall. The pros are that it looks nice, it easy to clean the outside, and the garbage bag does not stick out at all. It is also the perfect size for kitchen size garbage bags. I would recommend, despite the small issues I mentioned. March 18, 2013

Not happy We finally bought a step-open trash can and LOVED it for 2 days. I was giving tours of it in my kitchen! It looked nice, fit well, worked well. Until...Today the edge of the plastic liner broke after only having removed it twice to empty the bag (could have lived with that). Then the pin that keeps the lid from banging shut broke (cannot live with that). So back to the store it goes. We'll try another one from somewhere else for a comparable price. This one isn't top of the line but for $79 on sale I expected fewer problems! April 23, 2012
