Great I really like this box. Great to store seasonal clothe and blankets away. I use the large size to store the comforters. The medium size is used to store seasonal clothes. September 5, 2014
Ruby Dots Fabric Storage Boxes Sturdy, attractive, functional. Love them; have lined closet shelves with them. The labels on outside make for easy identification of contents. So glad to have discovered these boxes! July 17, 2014
Love these! Used these to tidy up my bookshelves in my home office, and I absolutely love them! The small sized ones fit perfect on my shelf; nice, sturdy boxes -- that little metal bar inside really makes a difference. The zippered top/velcro make for easy access of your materials. Definitely recommend! July 5, 2014
Great Value I needed a deep, covered container to store winter & summer clothing on the bottom of the closet floor. I didn't want plastic but also needed something relatively inexpensive. These colorful, wire reinforced containers fit the bill! I bought two of the large sizes, and was surprised how many items they hold. Will have to consider smaller sizes for accessories! I'm currently using a Clear Container Store Storage box to store a few of my daughter's baby clothing that I wanted to keep. I wasn't sure though if the plastic would be any kind of issue so was looking into these fabric boxes instead. Would they be better for me to use?

This product could be used, but you may want to go with archival storage options for delicate garments, or clothing that you are wanting to keep long-term. Please reference the Product Recommendations below for our archival clothing storage.

Answer:
SFLmom, I believe these reisenthel Storage Boxes would allow
your daughter's baby clothing to breath while they are being stored. After all, the boxes are made of fabric. Plastic containers don't have this advantage. Also, I know you can put more items in the Storage Boxes because fabric is more flexible than plastic. They would be easier to stack and would stay in place when stacked. FYI, each Box has a label on the front on which to itemize the contents.
Plastic containers, when stacked, can often slip and slide if not secured.
Just a thought, if you decide to donate your daughter's baby clothing to a family member or friend, giving them the Box in which the baby clothing is stored, would certainly make a beautiful and generous gift. However, if you are going to keep them for your daughter, or yourself, the Boxes would certainly add color to its contents.
I believe you would be very pleased with the reisenthel Boxes,
Thanks for your question and best wishes to you.

Answer:
Ivy 23, I have found the boxes to be very strong. I have not stacked them yet; however, you just planted a seed in my head. To answer your question, I would have to say yes because the fabric from which these boxes are made is very strong.
I don't know what you are packing in them, but items such as clothing and books should present no problem when you stack them.
I would caution putting items in the boxes that have sharp or pointy ends, i.e. knives etc. These would puncture the fabric.
I hope this answers your question.
Good luck with your packing and stacking project.

Hi,

I am moving soon and am looking for some different ways to pack my large collection of books. Would these be durable enough to be carried (to/from car) if filled with books?

No. I would use this more for storing clothes, bags and comforters, not for books.

Answer:
Yes. The heavy fabric from which these boxes are made is very durable. The fabric would be tantamount to heavy awning material. Each box has a two zippers on the top and there is velcro to secure the closure after you zip the top of each box.
In addition, each box has grograin ribbon sewn on each side.
You have a choice of using these as handles to carry the box, or putting them under your arm.
I think you would be satisfied with your purchase.
