Best storage ever I bought these storage boxes because I have invested in many skeins of yarn that cost a small fortune. With these boxes I eliminate the possible destruction of this yarn by pest, water, mold and mildew. These are great storage totes and they are a life saver beside a sanity saver March 30, 2013
Good Purchase We bought one of these watertight totes to hold our dog food and it works great for keeping out the bugs. Its also not as bulky as some of the other pet food trashcans. This fits perfectly under our kitchen counters and is easy to slide back and forth. Its much nicer then pulling out a dog food bag and much easier to carry around. It fits a whole 15 lb bag of dog and our measuring cup. The container is also the length of one corgi just in case you were wondering! March 22, 2014
A good solution I am using these containers to store kitchen tools on a low shelf in an area that pets have access to, so it is a necessity to keep the dust and dander from landing on the items within. These have a small foam-style gasket (feels kinda like those multi-color long floaty tubes for kids in the pool) up inside of the lid that presses onto the lip of the base when closed. Hopefully will not wear out too quickly with repeated opening and closing. 4 Latches (2 on each side) of the base's edges fold up and inward, snapping into place on the top of the lid. This works nicely and pries open pretty easily for anyone with decent hand strength. Over all, feels strong, not bendy, but not brittle either. Feels like it would last a long while. Good sizes for my needs, though kind of wish they did not "reduce" down, as this makes the area in the bottom smaller than the area nearer the top. I'm sure this makes for easy empty stacking, but I have them full. Would prefer perfect square top to bottom, but that's just me. March 1, 2013
Excellent Underbed Storage Solution I bought four of these containers to use as underbed storage in my small apartment. They've proved to be an excellent solution so far. Though I purchased four to start, I found I can actually fit eight of these bins underneath my standard 14" high queen bed frame. Talk about maximizing storage! Because they're deeper than most "underbed" bins, they are more efficient at holding larger, bulkier items if necessary. I've had no issues with sliding them out from underneath the bed, but if I did, it would be easy to add felt pads or gliders to the bottom. No real need for wheels in my opinion, which only move in one direction anyway, and increase frustration. These boxes are sturdy, heavy-duty, stackable and waterproof, which means I can repurpose them just about anywhere in my home if I decide to change my bedroom. The waterproof feature adds extra peace of mind that valuables stored at ground level will not be destroyed if there is a leak or flood of any type. August 2, 2011

Our Clear Watertight Totes are not acid-free, but they could be lined with our Acid-Free Tissue Archival Packing Shred to protect the art (linked below).

You might also consider using a box that is specifically designed for archival storage, like our Archival Album & Scrapbook Storage Box or our Archival Document Storage Boxes, which are shown below.

I live in an apartment building and there has been a recent bed bug infestation scare. While no bed bugs have been found I have developed a bit of a paranoia that these little past might make an appearance, so I have been looking for bed bug safe storage solutions to store my out of season clothing. I am assuming that this product is bed bug safe since it is watertight, but I thought it best to ask anyway.
