Not Perfect (What Is?) We WOULD Order Again!! Overall, the modular cubes are a very useful storage system for our corporate home offices and we would order more if we expanded our office space. The modules are more attractive than most "assemble yourself" storage pieces, with a nicely textured woodgrain finish. They are versatile, and a good size to store most office items with easy access and without wasting space. The two types of bases, wood grain or metal, are both attractive. A vacuum wand will fit next to the recessed wood grain base, so we can comfortably clean along the baseboard. The metal bases are attractive, and great in front of our baseboard heat registers. We will be able to place units under windows, in corners, etc. because of the modular design and module. That said, the details sometimes cause problems in assembly and strength. Many modules have a SMALL ding or two through the surface finishing material. Fortunately, we are pragmatists, not perfectionists, and used permanent markers to camouflage dings. Out of nineteen modules, two had defective hardware parts, which we will need to request and then wait for. This delays completion of part of our office re-modeling, but our sizable Container Store service experience suggests the delay will be brief! Some modules were mis-drilled, and four had been mis-drilled, sloppily plugged and re-drilled. All are serviceable, if you are minimally familiar with an electric drill. If you are on a tight time schedule and cannot wait a few days for a replacement part, or not comfortable with tolerating very small blemishes, I would suggest making a different choice. Otherwise, I think you will find the modules a good investment. We certainly do. January 21, 2014
