17 qt. Stor-It-All Tote B I have a pickup truck with an access cab behind the front seats. I need to use the space efficiently. This tote fits purfectly in the spce on the floor just behend the front seats. This tote creates a level cargo space. Shopping bags don't fall over, suit cases stay flat, and boxes stay level so you can put more of them inside. This tote is stong enough to withstand "serious" weight on top of it and still stay intact. The locking handles are very strong and in an excellent position to allow easy access to the contents. If you own a pickup, there has to be a place to put ropes, strapes, and even chains! This tote will do all of this and more! March 3, 2013
Contractor Bins I am a remodeling contractor who works in peoples homes. I organized all my painting, electrical, plumbing and tile tools in these bins. They have survived the ins and outs of my work van and survived the harshness of a job site. My storage area is neat and organized. I use all the sizes. The second largest bin holds paint cans upright and there are no spills in my van. They are easy to wipe the dust of with a damp paper towel and look clean when working in someone's home. Great, strong product. Thanks May 24, 2014
Best Storage Container Yet! We bought these boxes as we live in a tiny apartment with a storage unit and needed something that was durable and could be stacked on top of one another without crushing the bottom boxes. These boxes are made of thick plastic, and have not given in at all with 50+ pounds stacked on the bottom box. The handles are durable and made to last and lock firmly into place, not allowing the top to wiggle at all. These boxes come in a variety of sizes and you may want to mix and match, depending on what you are putting in them. The good part is no matter what size, they all stack. I would suggest going to a store to see them, if you can. Although I measure out the sizes at home, they were a lot different than I imagined when I got to the store. Had I ordered online, I would have been way off. April 15, 2014
nice units These are very nice containers, and are reasonably sturdy. The lids latch and seem to maintain a pretty reliable seal. The only issues I have with them is that the sizes listed are actually the width and length of the LID, along with the depth of the container combined with the lid. So the large bins that list their length and width as 25" x 17.5" are actually 20" x 14" at their base. Their stacked stability could be improved a little if the lids were recessed another inch (of course, this would steal a little from the interior storage space.) Overall, I'm happy with these and will be buying more. June 17, 2014

Answer:
The Stor-It-All Totes are not considered waterproof or water resistant. You may want to try our Watertight Totes instead if you need to keep the elements out. Please reference our Product Recommendations for additional details.

Weatherproof?

Do these totes withstand extreme heat/cold? I find that the plastic boxes I use in my unheated garage crack over time due to the crazy temperature fluctuations we experience here in Chicago. I am looking for a box that won't break if I use it as it is intended - for storage of tarps, burlap, sprinklers, small hand tools and other non-corrosive, primarily lightweight items. Thank you for your time.
