Great for dorm room! This works great for a dorm room. The desk provided in the dorms had no hutch top or shelving on top. This hutch gave much needed added vertical space to the desktop. Plenty of height on each shelf for binders and taller items, gets printer up and out of the work area. Folds flat to carry, pack, store. Definately a great investment for college years and can also be easily used later as needed anywhere for additional storage! Could not find anything like this unit anywhere. We have 5! I really like these shelves. They are sturdy, attractive, and affordable. We bought 5 of them when we were living in our old apartment and stacked two pairs to make tall bookshelves. I seem to recall having to exchange one or two because a notch in one of the shelves was misaligned, but it was not a big deal thanks to the store's excellent customer service policy--one of the employees actually opened up the boxes in store to check that the replacements were not defective. We have found new uses for them in our new house. Would definitely buy these again! March 18, 2013

Best Bookshelves EVER I bought four of these shelves to stack up to make two tall bookshelves. I will continue to purchase more. The initial use for these bookshelves was for my three year old's room to store toys. We lived overseas so this purchase was simple, compact and lightweight. We attached the bookshelves and they provided infinite storage. Luckily my child wasn't a climber, but I'm sure the shelves would have supported his weight (we used the wall brackets too). We moved again and the shelves were taken apart and packed. We are currently at our final destination and the shelves have been reattached to make two tall shelves again. Let me just say, this is the best bookshelf purchase I've ever made. There is no particle board here. The shelves were able to handle a lot of abuse from moving and general kid abuse for four years so far. They are currently in my son's room because they are so space saving and attractive. My husband recently took a pair to put in his office. I recommend these shelves for any type of setting. July 28, 2012
