Looks good, stability issue
Putting this together was fairly easy and it looks nice, but after I set it up with my computer it seemed wobbly. When my cat walks across it, it shakes a lot and drinks tend to spill because of that. the mesh drawer part should have a better connection than just stick on Velcro strips. Those, by the way, were a pain to set up since the plastic backing ripped off most of the glue that was supposed to stick the Velcro to the desk.

perfect size, customizable storage
I had been looking for a desk for about 6 months when I found this one online. I went to my local store, and it was everything I had hoped. Needless to say, after I got it home and put it together, I was just as thrilled with my purchase. I've done a lot of price and quality comparison, and this elfa unit surpasses all the other options I found in both and offers style! I'm hoping to add elfa storage to more areas of my home.

Not the Usual Elfa Easy to Build Product
I received the desk without instructions, and downloaded them online. The top is neither pre-marked nor pre-holed to attach the feet. You'll need to drill them, and that's a pain.
The result is nice, fortunately!

My mother ordered 2 of these desks as Christmas gifts for my children. We received the packages in plenty of time but waited until the evening of Christmas Eve to open them and begin assembly. Once we opened the boxes we realized the elfa instructions that were included did not specifically address how to assemble the desks. This was a little discouraging but we went to the website and found the number for Customer Service. Unfortunately, Customer Service had already closed for the holiday. At this point we were starting to panic a little bit. Luckily (after a little bit of searching), we were able to find the instructions online. The desks were very easy to assemble once we had the instructions and we are very happy with them!
The Monday following Christmas, my mother called Customer Service to share with them her disappointment/frustration with the whole situation. The agent that she spoke with was so very nice and apologetic! It made all the difference in the world!! A few days later, a short note (along with a The Container Store gift card) arrived in the mail for my mother. The basic message was that they wanted her to be completely satisfied with her purchase. This small, thoughtful gesture has ensured that we will be REPEAT The Container Store customers!
