a bathroom solution, finally After years of searching for a stand/table to place beside the pedastel sink in my bathroom, The Container Store offered the solution, this QBO table. The frosted door shields toilet paper and air spray cannisters from direct view. I placed the top cube's glass shelf on top of the unit, to protect the cube from water .... while shaving, washing my hair at the sink, etc. The glass shelf, used this way, gives the top of the table a clean, sleek appearance. Rubber cushions, which come with the kit, cushion the glass shelf, on top of the cube. The upper cube, without the glass shelf, holds folded bath towels. Cautionary note: after assembling the lower cube and attaching the glass door, I found that the bottom of the handle-side of the door scraped on the cube, when closing. However, after full assembly of both cubes, no scraping occurred. The weight of the metal plate, under the base unit, is significant and strong. The assembled table moves easily on its casters. The QBO offers a clean, contemporary look to a period bathroom. Result: a good design juxtaposition. October 2, 2012
