6-Shelf Iron Folding Bookcase
sturdy, inexpensive, easy
The bookshelf is sturdy-- we loaded it up with lots of heavy books-- but it is easy to set up-- nothing to screw in, just unfold and it's done.

Sturdy shelves at a great price
I bought two of these shelves and they are side-by-side in my office. These shelves are great--easy to set up, sturdy, and good looking. The only small drawback is that the shelves do not have enough space to store larger books vertically... not a big deal, unless you have a lot of large books!

We bought these shelves for a small spot in our kitchen. They have been good -- a bit wobbly, but we put all of our cookbooks on the bottom shelf to weigh things down. We are happy with the purchase.

Iron Folding Bookcase--LOVE THEM!!
We replaced huge old wood bookcases with these because a new TV required more space. I wasn't in love with these when I first saw them, but now that I have them, I REALLY like them. I have both a 6 and 4 shelf unit. Very sturdy (with adjustable feet for uneven floors). To make them even sturdier, put heavy stuff on bottom. Since the shelves don't hide the walls, they keep the room looking more spacious. They also hold a lot of stuff and allow for tall books. Shelves are not adjustable (but that probably ensures that they will be balanced). There is NO assembly. Take them out of the box and let the shelves fall into place. They are fairly heavy so a larger unit would most likely require 2 people to unload from car. If you have small children who might try to use furniture to pull themselves up, I would suggest anchoring to wall as with anything else that might topple. It would be very easy to anchor and would be nearly unnoticable since you could anchor right behind a shelf or part of the frame.. Because these fold, they are easy to move and store. After seeing them in my room, they look as though they would blend in anywhere you need an extra bookcase --no matching with wood furniture required. We got them on sale and I think they will last forever. If you are not sure, buy a small one and take it home and try it out (we did that and went back 10 mins later for the big one as well) Not exactly what I thought I would buy when I started out but I do love them!
