Good casters We needed these to turn an old elfa file cabinet into a rolling work table. The casters are wonderfully smooth rolling and easy to install. The only thing I noticed is that the casters are larger than the casters on the other (older) elfa file cabinets that we have. That wasn't an issue for us, but if you expect the top of an elfa unit with these (newer# casters to be flush with another #older) elfa unit, you might need to replace the casters on the older unit. Great wheels. Use a mallet! Once I figured out that the best way to keep the backstop pins in place on my elfa shelving was to use a tiny bit of scotch tape, the only other challenge was these casters. They have that ring around them that keeps them from going into the bracket more than a quarter inch. I banged and pushed and finally contacted customer service, who said oh yes, I needed to pound with a mallet. Which I found difficult to do since they're *wheels* and kept spinning and I didn't want to hit too hard and possibly break or crack them. I finally did it by holding the whole caster in place with my left hand and bringing the mallet down not just on the top of the wheel, but also tapping down on the edge of that plastic piece that runs through the middle. I hit harder than I wanted to but it worked. The wheels eventually go all the way in. November 21, 2012
