InterMetro® Special Offer Unit
Excellent shelving unit for a really great price. I added two more shelves to get a total of five. Very easy to put together. I especially like the sturdiness of this unit. Unlike flimsy cheaper units, I know it will never warp and I know I will have this unit forever. Very wise purchase if you want something that will last and always look good. I also bought the shelf liners - again very high quality. I recommend this unit highly!

I have had an Intermetro shelving unit since 2001, which is still in fantastic shape. When I moved into a larger space, it was obvious to buy more of these.

sturdy, handy storage, durable too
You really should assemble with 2 people and then it's quite fast and easy to do, even for 2 girls (unless you're short - get a stepstool for it then#. Their instructions aren't the best as they do not include the casters, which I would never live without! You have no idea how wonderful it is to have your storage rack on wheels, makes life SO much easier, seriously.
ASSEMBLY NOTES: Metro's site showed unscrewing the posts and then screwing in the casters #I find it easier to twist the pole rather then the caster myself# before you start installing the shelves so that's what I did #with a friend#. Also, after you slide each shelf down the poles, they show putting a board or support across the corner of the shelf near each pole, in turn, then banging it in the middle to secure it, which works better as it evenly settles the shelf on each pole that way. I recommend not banging the top of the shelf much below the top of the clips because over time it will potentially slide down a little so give yourself room for that.
QUALITY NOTES: I have had my original one #which is about 12" shorter than the current one so fits in more places) for over 10 years in the garage and it still looks new, still totally black, still fully functional. One of the shelves with heavier stuff has slid down the clips slightly, but only by about 1/4" so no problem at all. Hence the recommendation to start with the shelves sitting with only the very top peeking through.
My old rack was so handy and has held up so well that it brought me right back here when I needed a second one. I pull it out of it's spot about 1-2 times per month and have 2 of the large storage bins on each of the four shelves and have the entire time. All bins are full too. I also squeeze other things in small boxes in between the bins, LOL. Could not be happier with the original - looking forward to taking advantage of this new taller one and the extra shelf I bought for it due it's extra height and the sale. I highly recommend. Sorry for the wordy review, but thought some might want the assembly tips as well as knowledge of how well it works and lasts.
