Love it Use these hooks to hang our extension cords. Like that they screw directly into the wall. October 20, 2011
Best purchase ever for simple use products. I was looking for something that would be easy to install to hang our kayaks. This product made it simple and affordable. My husband is not real handy and he could do this very easily. We even mounted this on cinder block wall in garage. The container store gave us all the right things that we would need. I know I will be buying more of this product. The hooks can be moved around for any use. Great stuff! March 4, 2012
Great idea for the garage! I hang chairs on these in our garage storage area. April 12, 2012
Best Product Ever We finally got our garage organized. We can drive both cars in now because the product was a hit. I think if you ever want your garage space back you should get this system from the Container Store. March 24, 2012

Would love to put this system in my garage but I worry about the weight if it isn't mounted to wooden studs. If anyone can provide this information I would appreciate it.

Answer:
Our elfa utility round cord hook should be mounted directly to a wall stud or if you choose to hang / attach to the elfa track it is not necessary to hit a stud.

I have a #6 gauge industrial extension cord almost 1" diameter. It weighs about 48 pounds and is 70' long. I want to hang it in 4' loops on a Round Cord Hook for storage. I suspect the heavy odd shaped bulk will cause the hooks to bend in towards each other and perhaps even bend downward.
