Translucent Magnetic Magazine Basket
You Get What You Pay For
This basket is expensive, yes. I know that for many, the cost is prohibitively high.
That being said, I own 7 of them and am planning to buy 3 more the next time I'm at the Container Store. You truly do get what you pay for. The bins are incredibly sturdy and hold a ridiculously heavy load on a white board, metal front door, or refrigerator (I haven't tried any other surfaces yet, but I'm 100% certain that they will work well on any magnetic surface). The magnets are super-heavy-duty, which allows each basket to be stuffed full of magazines and still stay up.
I use one at my house for our magazines and 6 in my classroom on my white board as turn-in boxes for each of my 6 classes. The rugged plastic and heavy duty magnets have held up well with both junior high and high school students.
Also, if you ever need to hang them from a non-magnetic wall, the magnets come off to reveal 4 keyhole-style hanging points.
Bottom line: I'd buy them again. They do what they are supposed to do better than any other product I've found.

Very strong magnets
This magazine holder has very strong magnets allowing you to fill it with lots of magazines without worrying it will fall off.

Great container, but overpriced
I've been hunting for a container of this size to mount on my wall, remove easily, and replace. I like that it has a narrow profile- perfect for its use as a junk mail recycling bin in my entryway. However, I think 16.99 is very steep for a plastic bin with magnets. I bought it to end my quest, but I'm still a little miffed that I paid so much- I'd love to get a few more, but I can't justify the price. For that amount, there should be colors and patterns to choose from in the plastic. That being said, though, if there's a similar type of container out there, I haven't found it yet, so I guess you're paying for this unique niche it fills.
