Silver Mesh Desktop File
Great for filing and keeping my projects organized
I'm a 'Piler' not a 'Filer'. I make piles of paper and samples. So this bin helps me stay organized. I used to have one pile with everything regardless of project. Now I have one bin for each project in process! After a project is done, the folders get moved to another bin organized by year!
During the span of the project from concept through final photos I collect a lot of paper- schemes, correspondence, meeting notes, final drawings, construction photos, etc. as well as samples of anything from paint to tiles! And often there are 5 projects going! I can toss into the proper project bin current papers and stay organized. Now I need a wider bin for the projects with multiple bins!!!

This File is the center piece of my desktop.
This Mesh Desktop File has been the template of my office and home office desktops. I manage over 20 different billing accounts, and the file organizes all of the bills well.
The vertical file is a great space saver also.

Use & recommend this product to organizing clients
When we organize homes or offices, this is one of the best vertical files we recommend. It looks professional, clean and stores file folders vertically (so you can view folder labels at a glance quickly...while also getting the papers vertical so they don't consume so much prime work space). We also like the desktop file because it has a small footprint on the desktop (ie: doesn't steal much actual work area space). Our clients use it for their 'active files or notes'. If it becomes full, that means it's time to either toss, shred or file papers:)
We love it and use it personally. Lookin' at mine right now:)!

Great desktop file -- needs rubber feet or bottoms
I love the mesh file. What I do not like is the bottom should have rubber feet or bottoms or plastic runners. The mesh file I would love to give a 5* rating. However, I spent thousands on the ELFA desk and shelving sets and closets and the file will scratch my wood counter tops. Please make sure that this product is built better so that it protects my desk. I even tried using felt bottoms or stickers or rubber feet adhesives and they didn't stay on. Please change the bottom of this so that it doesn't scratch my beautiful desk. I prefer this style since I have the platinum gray and dark wood style in my home. I like fabric box for putting away, and prefer this style for active files. Otherwise the best option at the moment is the plastic (med size files) and the white brocade (which has protective feet/bottoms already). However i would rather buy the gray desk file with protective feet. Thank you.
