Eagle Creekâ¿¢ Specter Pack-Itâ¿¢ Folders
Best item for Packer EVER!
I bought 2 of these( 1 for my husband and 1 for me) for a 3 week safari. This was a remarkable item. It has a hard piece of plastic to help you fold your shirts/dresses to fit exactly and smoothly within its borders. When everything is folded that well, they stack neatly and wrinkle free. We managed to get our nightshirts x2, 6 shirts, 3 pants, a jacket(windbreaker), hat and any other stray stuff, into one of these. Then the sides velcro like an envelope which help one compress your clothes. it fits neatly into most suitcases and leaves so much more room for other goods. This is the single best packing item I have ever used and I use it now for every trip as I now only use carry on bags.

My newest favorite packing aid
I actually bought two of these bags (one in the heavier blue fabric, one in the lighter fabric) to pack for a trip to Venice. They enabled me to take a carry-on bag for an eight-day trip! I prefer the lighter one, even though it is more expensive, because it takes up less space. I used the folding board to separate tops from pants in one of the units and sweaters from skirts in the other unit. I prefer this method to the packing aids that you roll up to squeeze out air because the clothes become much less wrinkled and the containers themselves are handy when you unpack.

Can now fold in thirds.
I was never able to fold shirts in 3rds, the way the stores do, until now. This is a very helpful at helping you fold and pack shirts without excessive wrinkling.

Great Product with 2 flaws
We just returned from a tour of Spain and Portugal. Five hotels in 11 days. The Pack-it's I bought were invaluable in keeping lightweight cotton shirts needed for the hot weather wrinkle free. I had wanted to buy a Pack-it several years ago but they weighed too much. The new lightweight fabric is great!
I bought two for my husband's polo shirts and one for my shirts and dresses. After a few days, we consolidated and used one for the dirty clothes. Without the Pack-it's, keeping everything neat when moving from hotel to hotel would have been a nightmare.
I only gave a 4 star rating because of two problems which I hope the manufacturer can fix. You must be very careful when packing knits or gauzy fabrics. The holes in the packing board can have rough edges. After snagging a knit shirt I took an emery board and sanded down the edges of all the holes.
The second problem was more troublesome: the velcro tore one of the gauzy scarves I bought in Spain for my daughter. There is a lot of velcro on the product and it is very difficult to keep clothing away from the loops, even when the Pack-it is closed. I don't have a solution, but I hope Container Store can come up with one. In the meantime, use the product because it makes packing so much easier, but be very very careful of your delicate clothes.
