Perfect I never thought I'd rave about a garbage pail, but this Umbra Brim Can is just right- after over 30 years of furnishing homes, I finally found a kitchen pail that looks great AND works perfectly. Very nice product Purchased this to replace another Umbra step-on kitchen garbage can I've had for 8 years. This is a bit larger and and taller. I like the nickel and was hoping the plastic "lifting" mechanism would also be nickel vs. plastic, but that is not the case. (Hence the 4 vs. 5 stars) Slow self closing top and bag grabber are nice features. I think it's a bit over-priced, but pleased with the purchase! April 18, 2013

Freaking fantastic! This is a little much to pay for a garbage can, but i have to say, this is the best garbage can I've ever used. The material is *very* sturdy and easy to clean and I love the step-touch functionality! There's plenty of room for your garbage and the way that the secondary lid locks in place to hold the garbage bag in place is genius! Let's face it, yes, $40 is a bit much to pay for a garbage can, but the ease of use, capacity and functionality are priceless! You won't be buying a garbage can again for a long time, why not buy the right one? March 18, 2013
