Platinum elfa Ventilated Shelves
I am embarrassed to say that my husband and I are the least handy people around. If I could afford to call someone, even to change a light bulb, I would. But the Elfa system we bought for my kids' closet was unbelievably easy to install. It was done in probably three hours, would've been less but turns out we got the measurements wrong. Actually the whole process, from design to installation, was really easy. It can get a little expensive so wait for the sale. The designer overestimated the number of shelves necessary, but return policy is easy. All in all, no complaints.

I put the order together for 2 walk-in closets myself. They were ready for pick-up the same day! Which meant no shipping cost & a discount.
It was pretty painless since my husband & I are very handy & it is mostly attaching the top rail, then hanging the standards, attaching the brackets, shelves, rod holders & rods.
We did have to cut a few pieces because I wanted to go wall to wall (they will make cuts for you if you need the help).

Elfa, a long term friend
My house is on the smaller side so I was very pleased to discover elfa ventilated shelving years ago to organize and maximize my space(s). The first project was the master closet and it went from there to the guest bedroom, garage many times over and my last large project was the pantry after a partial kitchen remodel. It's flexible like a friend over time if/when needs of a space change⿦ for example in a garage. The longest stretch of elfa there started off as general storage, then a good portion became a lumber rack during several DIY remodels. It was far from showroom pretty but awesome for keeping the pile organized and easy to manage. Now down to trim and carpentry storage the shelving is currently evolving into sports racks for a kayak, bikes along with the general garage items.

Wonderful in the Kitchen
We just bought a new home and have a much smaller kitchen than we were used to. We were looking for ways to open up the feel of the kitchen while highlighting our Fiestaware that brings a lot of color into the room. We first thought about cabinets with no doors, but ultimately decided on Elfa because we liked the look and it was cheaper than new wall cabinets. The final product turned out great! We're extremely happy with how it looks and the ventilated shelves hold the heavy weight of all the dishes and mixing bowls without any bowing. We were unfortunately not able to hit any studs with the rail placement, and even with all this weight and a few months of use, no problems. Great stuff!
