Stainless Steel Wire Clothespin
quality has changed drastically (for the worse)!
As other reviewers have noted, this clothespin is no longer the incredibly awesome clothespin of the past. It is much thinner and wobblier. Also, the picture shown on this website is of the ORIGINAL - the new one is slightly different in appearance.
Container Store, please please bring back the old clothespin!!!

I use clothespins outside in the rain to clip together cold draping for citrus trees. These work very well for my purposes. The only other ones I've seen on the net are $2 each. As far as I can tell there is no difference between them.

NOT the original! a disappointing change!
If you are one of the long time fans of these clips, beware. The material and quality of the clips have changed, and not for the better. They do not have the same metal content, as they will not work with magnets as the originals did. They also have less gripping power and feel cheaper overall.
The original clips are one of those well designed little everyday items that are a simple pleasure to use. I won't be purchasing this new version again.

Loved them, until now
I was really a huge fan of these until now. These clips used to be made of a heavier material with a really strong hold and had a hefty, high-quality feel.
I went into the store today to buy a few more when I discovered that they are being produced in a lighter weight material that is not as heavy. Actually, I took the liberty of weighing them with my coffee scale and the new ones are about 1 gram lighter, and there are less turns? in the spring, making the clip a little less sturdy when opening and closing them, now wiggling side to side.
They still work fine and are easier to open, but I really preferred the previous material that was being used. They aren't worth .50 anymore.
If you're going to change the material to something cheaper and less expensive for you to manufacture, the clips should be cheaper on the customer's end, too, Container Store!
