Love It!
Great little container to keep your butter clean, fresh and neat. Even my husband is a fan of it.

Love this butter keeper
I purchased this butter keeper as my daughter-in-law has one and I loved it. She is very cautious about chemicals, etc. and would not continue to use the container if the blue was washing off of hers. I know hers is washed in the dishwasher frequently and so far no problems. I am looking forward to the same outcome as I use this butter keeper.

Good, but has drawbacks
This is the second one of these I've purchased. Now I can wash one and use one. However, I also have concerns like one of the other reviewers about the blue markings coming off. I usually wash it by hand.
I find the markings a bit confusing. I assume the narrower lines are supposed to be for a larger stick, but the only larger sticks I know of are the width of two single sticks, so the narrower lines should be exactly half the width of the wider ones to be the same tablespoon, but they are not.
I like that it's plastic and has a fitting lid, although the seal does loosen over time, so don't pick it up by the lid.
It's good for my elderly mom who lives with us because it isn't heavy and isn't glass that could break. It would also be good for households with children, for the same reason.

the blue chart is not permanent
I was so happy to find this butter keeper; however, it has not lived up to its great expectations, per the other reviews.
I mostly washed it by hand and occasionally on the top rack of the dishwasher. I've owned this for about 6 months. In this short time, the blue measurement chart has all but disappeared from the base. How can that be safe for food? Are the other butter keeper reviewers' measurements still visible?
A secondary minor issue is that the base needs to have a lip so that softened butter doesn't slide off.
