Glass Cracker Jars with Aluminum Lids 4.8 5 54 54
Inexpensive, simple and useful I love these jars. I use them for brown sugar and white sugar. The mouth is wide so it's easy to use a scoop when measuring out for a recipe. I also love using these as candy or cookie jars. They are simply elegant and make my pantry look organized and pleasing to the eye. April 11, 2014
Want a smaller size? At holiday time, my local Container Store carries a 1-pint version of these jars. The lids have holiday themes, but the 1-pint is perfect for a pound of beans or peas. The first one I received with holiday goodies . . . and then had to wait almost a year to add to my collection of 1-gallon through 1-quart jars. But it was well worth the wait. Have the tidiest pantry in town! April 9, 2014
Excellent I love these jars. they look amazing in my pantry and keep ants away from the contents. Will be purchasing more in the near future. March 25, 2014
Pantry Organization I used these containers, in all sizes, to organize the dry ingredients in my pantry. I love the way it has turned out! February 24, 2014

Can I store liquid contents in these jars?

The description says the lids are lined with paper. Are they to be used for dry contents only? I want to use the jars for pickling.

We wouldn't recommend storing liquid contents in our Glass Cracker jars, but our Quattro Stagioni Canning Jars would work perfectly for pickling. Please see our product recommendation below.

I don't need a seal for my liquid. I will not be using the lid. Is the jar food-grade, liquid safe?

do these keep out pantry moths?

Am cleaning out my pantry due to a pantry moth infestation. Would love to put all my dry goods in these lovely containers if I knew these would keep out the moths.

I have an idea to decorate the outside with a durable/washable chalkboard paint, but it requires a 30-minute 300 degree F curing process in a kitchen oven. Before I attempt, I'd like to make sure the glass will not melt in my oven.
