Love it!
This size spice jar was impossible to find. I buy many spices in bulk and this size holds a good amount. It costs more than the smaller spice jars, but it is worth the price. The only downside is a measuring Tablespoon is too wide and will not fit through the opening. Also make sure the lids close correctly -- some of them would not stay closed and would pop up. I bought some Avery labels at the office supply store and printed them on my computer to label the spice jars. My spice drawer is the envy of all who see it!

I live where there is an abundance of bulk food stores, so most of my spices come in different size flat plastic containers. I really wanted to get them organized and into uniform containers without spending a fortune. I bought several of these and several of the 3 oz size. I had some Avery removable (Post-It type) labels so made my own labels for the bottles which I can easily remove and change as my spice collection changes.
The lids seem fairly flimsy so I wonder how they'll hold up over time after they get opened and closed several times. They feel less sturdy than the tops on the spices you'd get from the grocery store. But for the price, I wouldn't mind having to buy replacements over time.
They're big enough to hold the spices I use a lot of and they're big enough to fit my tablespoon measuring spoon in. Overall, I've quite satisfied with these containers.

Sharing our Spices!
My mom and I share spices that we purchase from Costco. Not only have we saved quite a bit of money, but the area I store my spicesin is nicely uniformed and organized! We have also used these for small portions of salad dressings, oils, and vinegars between the 2 houses. I've also used them for powder sugar for pancakes/waffles and cinnamon sugar
Non food uses have been
* lavendar bath salts
*sand and small seashells from beach vacations throughout the world

Perfect Size
The 6 oz. glass spice jar is exactly as I expected it to be. I like the size and the weight of the glass. The plastic lid allows the spice to be shaken or spooned from the bottle. My husband makes his own barbecue rub mixture and we share it with friends at the holidays. We are always looking for a container to hold the rub mix. We also buy spices in bulk from Sprouts and put them in these bottles- saves money.
