Very Convenient I love this purchase! It keeps my countetop cluster free and it is very convenient of how close it is to the sink for washing dishes. March 4, 2010
Terrible Product! Was very disappointed with this product. As others have mentioned, the bottom starts rusting within WEEKS of use, and begins looking extremely unhygienic . Soap also leaks in between the metal base and the plastic container. I'm an otherwise happy customer of the container store, and love everything else I've bought from there, so this was a sad surprise. April 30, 2011
Returning this product I purchased this about a month ago, I was excited about this product as it had a great look for my kitchen. But water from the sponge holder leaks into the bottom and rust has formed all over the stainless steel part! I will be returning it today. Awful product! July 9, 2012
Exactly what I need and works well for that Yes, this caddy collects water in the bottom of the small containers ... BUT, because the containers don't have holes in them (which would eliminate the pooling problem) I can use them for the tiny brushes I need to clean my glass straws. The brushes go in the taller container at the back. They have very skinny handles. In the short container at the front I store my pot scrapers. Neither of these things drip copious amounts of water, there's plenty of air circulating around them, and the bottoms dry out quickly. Once in a while I give the insides a quick wipe with a paper towel. I also periodically wipe the outside of the caddy to eliminate buildup at the seams. Even so, it does eventually get to the point where it cannot be cleaned and I buy a new one. I'm on my second one in 9 years and only replaced it because the pump stoped working. I had just switched to a 'green' soap, Dr. Bronner's, which is much thinner than normal dish soap, and it dried out inside the pump. I managed to get the plug out of the spout but couldn't get it off the spring even after soaking it in vinegar. I've gone back to my old soap (Seventh Generation) and the pump works fine. I've just ordered two more, just in case they discontinue it. OBVIOUSLY, if you store a wet sponge in a closed container, the water will not evaporate so don't use it for that! It works PERFECTLY for my needs. I also like the fact that it's rectangular. August 10, 2012
