This is a great product. I've used butter dishes lots of times, but this one stays together when it is closed so you don't accidently lose your butter. The measurements on the sides are fantastic! I can't tell you how many times I've pulled out an open butter to cut off a tablespoon for a dish I was making and had to line it up with the measurements from a fresh stick of butter. No more pulling out a new stick because the measurements are already in front of you! Bakers and chefs will love this feature.

Okay butter dish
I absolutely loved this butter dish, until I washed it. I hand washed it, too. I liked the idea of the lines and the amounts listed, but when you wash it, it smears all over and stains the white plastic. I still use it, obviously, but the reason I liked the dish and purchased it washed away.

Like, but dislike
This butter keeper is great for doing what it's called and the blue measurement lines are a fantastic idea. However, the blue lines started to wipe away with the first washing after the first use. I'd honestly have a 'whatever' attitude about that, but the blue didn't just wash away; Instead it just smeared and now the white dish is stained with blue smudging. It still works as a butter keeper and I'll still use it for that purpose, but I'm not happy with the quality of this product.

Good, but has drawbacks
This is the second one of these I've purchased. Now I can wash one and use one. However, I also have concerns like one of the other reviewers about the blue markings coming off. I usually wash it by hand.
I find the markings a bit confusing. I assume the narrower lines are supposed to be for a larger stick, but the only larger sticks I know of are the width of two single sticks, so the narrower lines should be exactly half the width of the wider ones to be the same tablespoon, but they are not.
I like that it's plastic and has a fitting lid, although the seal does loosen over time, so don't pick it up by the lid.
It's good for my elderly mom who lives with us because it isn't heavy and isn't glass that could break. It would also be good for households with children, for the same reason.
