Artisan Glass Canisters with Oak Lids
Looks good, but wooden lid smells
The wooden lid has a very strong chemical smell, so unless it airs out, I will not be putting food in this container. I've only had it for a few days, and the smell is decreasing a bit each day, so I'm optimistic. Still, the idea of storing food in it is not very appetizing at the moment. Other reviews don't mention problems with the smell, so I'm hoping it airs out.

great stackable jars
These are very nice stage containers and they fit perfectly with two of the smallest size stacked in my baking ingredient cabinet. My only disappointment is that the 16.9 oz size does not fit a 16 oz quantity. I guess I was wrong to asume the storage capacity would reflect how much it could fit with the lid in place. Next time I am in the store I will get a few of the larger size for ingredients I buy in 1 lb quantities.

These artisan glass canisters are very nice. They go with the style of our home (we have them on an open shelf in the kitchen), and are very functional. They are not dishwasher safe, but very easy to hand wash (the glass is not too fragile). We store loose tea in them and the air tight seal keeps them fresh for a long time.

Incredibly useful and versatile
I have found all sorts of uses for these jars. Perhaps the best were as Christmas gifts, with each jar filled with nuts and candy, trail mix, or some other delectable. The lids are easy to handle so they work for those with arthritis and the like. Well worth it!
