Awesome storage jars that look great! I purchased these to store baking staples like flour, sugar, brown sugar, etc. and I LOVE them. They are simple yet elegant solutions that keep everything fresh with tight, screw-on lids. Also, the mouths of the jars are wide enough to scoop the contents out easily. June 8, 2013
Super pantry organization! Just got all my large and medium glass cracker jars and reorganized my pantry. Transferred all my flours, sugars, and other baking items (chocolate chips, coconut) from plastic containers or bags into these. The large ones hold an entire 5lb bag of flour/sugar, they look terrific, and I appreciate glass over plastic any day. Wouldn't really need labels as you can see through, but since I have several different flours that I may not be able to tell apart, I went ahead and labeled everything. Even made up a huge batch of Russian Tea and am storing it in one of these. I love them all the way around, even the fact that I can safely put them in the dishwasher for sterilization. They have a very classic look and are extremely practical! November 13, 2011
Great Value Jars These jars are great. I bought the 1 gallon size for flour and sugar. Flour *barely* fits but sugar fits fine. I bought the 2 qt for brown sugar; I've only filled it with half a bag so I can't say whether a whole bag fits or not. The 1 qt is great to store small quantity items I buy from bins, like wheat bran. The jars look great on my counter and in my pantry. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because I wish they had a rubber seal in the lid; I'm not sure how airtight these are. But flour and sugars go pretty fast in my kitchen, so I'm not too worried about it. And for the price, you can't beat these jars. April 27, 2012
Perfect Gift! I made a quote jar with this and it turned out beautifully! I put 375 quotes/scriptures for my best friend's birthday. She has a quote to read, each day, for a year; with extras, in the event she needs two for some days! This jar is the perfect jar to use for this gift! February 15, 2014

Can I store liquid contents in these jars?

The description says the lids are lined with paper. Are they to be used for dry contents only? I want to use the jars for pickling.

We wouldn't recommend storing liquid contents in our Glass Cracker jars, but our Quattro Stagioni Canning Jars would work perfectly for pickling. Please see our product recommendation below.

I have an idea to decorate the outside with a durable/washable chalkboard paint, but it requires a 30-minute 300 degree F curing process in a kitchen oven. Before I attempt, I'd like to make sure the glass will not melt in my oven.
