Flour Stay Fresh Container
I don't have canisters sitting on the counter tops so this is perfect for the pantry. I do pour my flour into the container as I find it harder to scoop out of the bag. The hinge does last as I bought one of these to use in our RV when we we're fulltime RVers for 8 years and it is still going strong. I was happy to find the same thing for our condo pantry.

bug-free, neat, efficient
I am currently using seven of these but need to buy 3 more, as I transition my flour collection to mostly gluten-free. as per my son's doctor.
the great thing about these is their storage-smart rectangular shape with a flat top that allows for stacking in the pantry. I also like that you can read the bag/box thru the walls so you're not dealing with labels or opening mystery containers.
I put the bags into the container, and then slip a number of bay leaves into the container to deter the insects that like to live in our flour/grains. I get my bay leaves in larger quantity by finding them in bags hanging in the ethnic foods area of my grocery...I toss the leftover leaves in cabinets where I store cereal, rices, and pastas.
the container is airtight enough to keep the flours fresh. it's lightweight so it doesn't kill my arthritic hands, and narrow enough so l don't miss handles that much. it's about storage, and these don't waste any space or materials. works for me.

THESE ARE THE BEST!
Bought four of these 5 years ago to put my different flours in. (we only eat home made bread) Thought it would be easy because I could inventory how much I had on hand and keep my pantry free from "four dust" which equals bugs. These did the trick! But I started to want to use them for more than just flour. So happy to come back to the site and see them still there. I am ordering 4 more!

Priced several dollars less than ones that I've looked at before. Just what I needed for our RV.
