Can these go in an oven without the lid?

We got a small cooking oven at work to try to microwave less food. It is hard to find containers we can use that can still travel well without breaking. Can the stainless steel go into the oven if they plastic lid is off?

I need to be able to nest these in storage. The small one will obviously nest in the large one, but will the large ones nest well too?
