Hermetic Glass Storage Jars
Safe and Worry Free
I have multiple food intolerances and have to make everything from scratch - even grind my own flours. Storage of my expensive ingredients was a high priority. I needed to have something that would keep them fresh, not allow the Powdered Vanilla Bean to "scent" everything else with Vanilla, and was easy to open/shut/access with arthritis.
I purchased the 3.2 qt jars for the capacity and I am very pleased with the performance.
The opening is wide enough for a 1/2 cup measuring cup to fit all the way in without getting hung up on the way out. The lids seal very well - even get a little air "burp" sometimes when I open a jar. The latch is easy to operate and though the jars are heavy when filled, the square shape makes them easier to hold onto.
My Pantry is a 6'x 2.5'x 1' standard bookcase, I can place 10 jars on each shelf when they are standing upright. A standard refrigerator will hold 10 jars on a shelf as well.
I am very happy with this purchase. My friends and family joke that I have my own mini co-op in my kitchen; they are right and these jars made it possible.

So glad I found these!
These are jars that I purchased to store my flour and sugars in. They are very sturdy and look great sitting right on my kitchen counter!

I love these jars!
I use these jars for everything! The first thing I do after grocery shopping is cut up all my fruit and veggies and put them in the jars. I know I am saving money with them because the produce keeps fresh longer than in plastic bags. (I did a test with a cucumber putting half in a plastic baggie and the other half in a jar.) I believe that using the glass is healthier for my family! I always use them for leftovers, and the shape of these jars takes up less room in the fridge than regular plastic containers. I strongly recommend these jars for any family that always has leftovers or just likes to have fresh, cut up produce easily available!

Classy jars at a great price
I have been using several sizes of these jars for several years. I keep them on my counter to hold my sugar, flour, etc. They look very attractive and have a tight seal, even without using the rubber gasket. (FYI - The 4 qt fits a 5 lb. bag of flour plus more.)
The only negative about this usage is that the largest measuring cup I can fit through the mouth of the jars is a 1/2 cup. When I need 1 cup of flour, for instance, I have to use the 1/2 cup twice. For large amounts, it gets to be tedious. It's also very difficult to get a knife or other utensil into the jar to smooth out the top of flour in a measuring cup to ensure a consistent measure.
Even with that issue, I chose to buy three more when one of mine was broken during washing. There just isn't another storage canister on the market that was a low price, airtight, and as attractive for my style!
