Lovely Containers were purchased to tidy up clutter of cereal boxes, and to replace old flour/sugar containers. Functional and fashionable! Husband was even impressed. October 3, 2011
Superb for flower & sugar Quality build, thick glass, nicely sealing lid, and huge mouth for scooping out measurements. This thing is a beast and should last a decade or two. December 16, 2011
not airtight I LOVED these jars- you can scoop rice and flour out SO easily! However, they were not airtight. The silicone seal has tiny holes to push out excess air- only clampy jars are airtight (if you are looking for glass). They do have a nice seal, but those pesky moths can get through twist-style lids, and I'm assuming this will not work for storing flour/rice/etc. February 20, 2012
Very Classy! Purchased these jars to replace old sugar/flour/Splenda containers and to leave out on the counter to make it look pretty and less cluttered. They do excellent! Even found labels here to put on them to be all OCD. If you overfill the container, pushing the lid down and opening it up can cause some of the stuff in there to come out from the change in air pressure. However, the mouth is nice and wide and easy to get a cup in there to scoop out whatever you need! March 7, 2012

Staff Answer
The lid on our montana glass container has a finial that allows you to pull off or push on, it does not screw on or off. We do not have this item in a size that will hold a 5 - lb. bag of flour.
